APPLICATIONS
Make Wafer type Butterfly valves are of Centric generally design with SLIP ON type elastomer seat. These valves are designed, manufactured and tested as per IS 13095-1997. Butterfly valves are suitable for ON-OFF, and flow control operations, suitable for variety of liquids in water works, Sewage Plants, Power Plants, Fire fighting systems, Water distribution tankers and for any other general liquid flow isolation and control applications.

CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES
Butterfly valves with a soft seated concentric wafer construction, scores over a conventional Sluice and Globe valves in every aspect. Its light weight and SLIP ON type design ensures economy in operation and maintenance. Butterfly valves have Fasteners or Dowel pins free shaft to disc connection by employing Stubs (two pieces) shafts. Accurately broached top hub of disc engages with Hexagonal end of top shaft while the lower shaft serves as the pivot. This provided for positive axial drive. Butterfly valves employes SLIP ON type elastomer seat retained by dovetail grove on body. It can be easily replaced at site so less downtime and very economical too. Butterfly valves have PTFE bush for reliable and leak proof shaft sealing. Also it has excellent bearing action which requires less torque to operate valve. Butterfly valve has lower head loss, due to lower thickness of disc made of Ductile Iron compare to normal Cast Iron and also stub (two pieces) shafts design for disc. Butterfly valves are suitable for mounting between all standard flanges. Butterfly valves are bi-directional with zero seat leakage. VENTIL ENGINEERS
