an exclusive interview that he
gave to Epicos.

1. Could you please tell us about the place of Kraüss Aeronáutica in the
national and international market?

Our hangar / facilities are located in Campo Grande, MS, Brazil and we have a
remote base in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil in process of certification where we
support a fleet of EMB120, in number of six aircraft. Actually we are working to
install a remote base on Ecuador, Nigeria, Angola, Russia, Jordanian and Egypt.

2. What are the next steps and the priorities that Kraüss Aeronáutica is
going to take?

The next step of our pool of companies will be the certification for full PW100 and
PT6A Series overhaul until the end of this year. Meanwhile we are working to
finish the KA-01 agricultural plane project to generate the drawings to construct
and fly the KA-01 prototype until December, 2009. We are also studying to get
certification for ERJ145 family and ATRs this year yet.

3. What are the difficulties that the company is currently facing?

Due to the large demand of maintenance services we are looking for another
place / hangar to support our fast growth.

4. Why someone should choose Kraüss Aeronáutica to do business?

Besides our specialized and dynamic team, we are opened to work in the place of
customer, in their bases, without necessity for them to bring the aircraft to our
facilities. For example we can make a PW100 HSI on wing of EMB120 with safety
and low costs, reduced TAT and warranty.

5. Is there a specific country that the company is going to expand?

As stated before, we are working to open certified facilities on Ecuador, Nigeria,


Angola, Russia, Jordanian and Egypt.

6. What are the main advantages of the company?

Dynamic team – we can go to the customers and there working on their aircraft.
We can offer low cost, warranty, low TAT and the most important, Safety.

7. Is Kraüss Aeronáutica currently investing in a new technology?

Yes, actually we are working to install the most advanced Engine Test Bench for
PW100 and PT6A series of the South America.

8. Could you please make a comment about the international Aerospace and
Defense Industry and its orientations?

We are following and living nowadays a great development in new technologies as


avionics, UAVs, new and light materials and others. Those new technologies are
coming on to help us get working at aviation market with safety, low costs and to
improve the missions that them were developed for. As an example, we have
some orders for KA-01 to be used in markets not as agricultural plane but for
policy use to inspect country borders. Then, we can conclude that during an
aircraft project development, our case, we shall have in mind all options for use
of our final product besides them were developed for.

9. Could you please provide us with some financial results from the past
years that will highlight the course of Kraüss Aeronáutica?

In the last eight (08) months we achieved a target of almost USD 1 Mi only
working in selling and aircraft maintenance in our remote facility.

10. Could you please give us some examples of successful contracts that
Kraüss Aeronáutica signed in Brazil or abroad?

Successful contract for our pool of company: We made “C” checks in EMB120 in
Africa, and Brazil, full services in EMB120 as ramp transit, engines replacement,
propellers replacement, landing gear overhaul and others checks at our remote
facility in Belo Horizonte, Inspections for State Government aircraft and others,
inspections at EMB120 at Ecuador, etc.

Kraüss Aeronáutica and its partners act in aircraft


maintenance from light checks up to full checks
as “C” and CPCP; inspections and revision for PW-
100 and PT6A series as, HSI, boroscope
inspections, light overhaul and others. Kraüss
