MISSIONARIES TO THE GOLDEN WHAT????

Perhaps a word of explanation is in order concerning our field of work in South Africa.

The

"Golden Rand" is a term used by South Africans referring to the plateau on which Johannesburg and the surrounding towns and villages are locatedo It was in this area that the rich gold strikes were made and this area was labeled the Witwaterstrand. Through usage this has been _s.!:ioc_tene-d to thp "iRandJJ^_iiC-h.e_."QD I den. Randl'.. Much of. the so i I- i-s . of--_a gai den--cb Ior and much gold is mined in the area. The towns of Springs and BenonI are considered to be In the
Oos Rand or East Rand with Randfontein to the west as on the West Rand. It is to this Gold

en Rand with its missions of people that we plan to go.

THE LQGIC OF,CHRISTIAN MISSIONS;

We face a humanity that is too precious to neglect.

We know a remedy for the ills of the world too wonderful to withhold. We have a Christ who is too glorious to hide. We have an adventure that is too thrilling to miss.
