EXPERIENCE

Teachers Aid (SOC 491), Fall 2012 University of Hawaii at Mnoa, Honolulu, HI Served as a TA and mentor for SOC 100 in a freshman seminar. Developed a course syllabus and a curriculum for my personal class of 9 students. Personally created and graded tests, class activities, and assignments that were distributed to students. Intern, Summer 2012 Kauai Fire Department Prevention Bureau, Lihue, HI Inputted confidential information into a database (FireRMS) and utilized a GPS software (Pictometry). Assisted in training the county firefighters on how to operate FireRMS and Pictometry. Teacher, Summer 2010 and 2011 Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation, Lihue, HI Planned and coordinated program curriculum at a designated location. Worked with site manager in planning activities; implemented and collaborated program content and coordinated support staff assignments needed in the delivery of the program curriculum. Duties included preparing program reports, teaching, counseling, and assessing children ages 5-12, including those with special needs. Recreation Aide, Summer 2009 Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation, Lihue, HI Worked with and assisted the Golf Pro in teaching the children golf skills and etiquette. Luau Server, May 2006-present Smiths Tropical Paradise, Kapaa, HI Provided quality customer service to 400 plus customers at a time in the luau and served at private parties.
