Ice Cream Social, Aug 25th Mark your calendars for another fun FCC Ice Cream Social on August 25th from 6:30 to 8:30. Think about what your favorite homemade ice cream and toppings are and bring them on up! This will be fun for everyone! KidFest, Sept 6-7 Children ages 3-12 are invited to a campout on Sept 6th and 7th. Watch for details; kids wont want to miss this! Staff Evaluations Requested Please pick up evaluation forms in Sunday School, the office, website, or Caf Bistro to provide feedback on staff members for yearly evaluations. Return them to the church office or to Leila Beeby. Deadline is Aug. 25th.

Sharing of the Word

As a part our service today, we will share stories and read scripture. Todays message from Owen Cayton is Fear and Faith based on Luke 12:32-40 and Hebrews 11:1-3,8-16.

Joys, Concerns and Pastoral Prayer

Gods heart is always open to Gods people and so we are called together to lift celebrations and concerns in prayer. God joins us in our deepest moments of pain and our greatest moments of joy...and everything in between. We take this time to pray for ourselves, the church, and the world in word and song.

The Great Thanksgiving

The Table of God is a celebration of gifts; our gifts and Gods gifts. During the song, hold up your gifts of food for the food pantry and the children will gather them. Deacons will pass baskets to receive your financial gifts and offerings. All of these gifts will be brought forward and placed on the table, along with the bread and cup and the childrens feast. After the prayer of Thanksgiving, everyone is invited to come forward to receive Gods gifts in communion. As you receive communion, you are invited to move to the front of the sanctuary where we all stand together and sing John 3:16. If you are not comfortable with your children taking communion prior to baptism, they are invited to receive the childrens feast at the front of the sanctuary at the same time.

At the close of worship, all are invited to commit or recommit ourselves to following Jesus. We are sent forth into the world in song, charged to be disciples in our lives.

Nursery: Children are always welcome in the service. We do provide a nursery for newborn - 3 years old for anyone who prefers to take their little ones there. Kids Own Worship is held upstairs in the youth room. It is for age 3 through 5th grade. They will watch Bible Story videos, enjoy popcorn, and time together. If your child wants to attend, they will dismiss during the Passing of Christs Peace together.
