1859 : Archéologues et géologues dans l’épaisseur du temps

L’année 1859 marque communément la « naissance » de la préhistoire en tant que science. De fait, c’est
cette année-là, que les constatations réalisées in situ par les chercheurs français et britanniques dans
les carrières de la moyenne terrasse de la Somme conduisent à valider les conclusions de Jacques
Boucher de Perthes et l’hypothèse de la haute antiquité de l’homme.
Mais c’est également cette année-là qu’est publiée L’Origine des espèces de Charles Darwin, ouvrage qui
va jouer un rôle déterminant dans la fondation intellectuelle de la préhistoire en Europe.
La question de l’ancienneté de l’homme va alors devenir indissociable de celle de son origine animale –
c'est-à-dire de la question de l’évolution. Comment se produit cette fusion ? Quels en sont les acteurs,
les enjeux, les tensions ? Quelles dynamiques nouvelles apparaissent ? L’année 1859 marque-t-elle
l’apparition d’une préhistoire évolutionniste ? Telles sont certaines des interrogations que ce colloque
se propose d’étudier en parcourant les voies empruntées par diverses disciplines – anthropologie,
palethnologie, paléontologie, géologie… – et en explorant leurs recoupements, leurs antagonismes et leur
devenir.

Le Service départemental d'archéologie du Pas-de-Calais recherche un(e)

chargé(e) du système d'informations archéologiques
assistant(e) qualifié(e) du patrimoine

Contexte

Au sein de la Direction de la Culture, le Service départemental d'archéologie du Pas-de-Calais assure

des missions d'étude, de conservation et de diffusion de l'archéologie. Il est agréé pour les diagnostics
et les fouilles qu'il réalise principalement sur les opérations sous maitrise d'ouvrage départementale
notamment des chantiers de voirie (ex:mise à 2*2 voies RD939 Arras - littoral) et sur les
aménagements d'intérêt départemental. Il comprend 30 agents. Le système d'informations
archéologiques sera composé de bases de données, d'iconographie, plans, relevés et documents utiles à
la connaissance archéologique. Un premier usage sera de favoriser l'appréhension du contexte
archéologique et géomorphologique des opérations d'archéologie préventive. Son expression spatiale
est la carte archéologique départementale. Celle-ci sera compatible avec la carte archéologique
nationale et en intègre les principales données. Un autre usage important sera l'enregistrement
pérenne de l'ensemble de la documentation produite lors des opérations d'archéologie préventive selon
les normes déterminées par l'État.

Missions :

- Contribue à la conception du système d'information archéologique veille à la cohérence générale du

système d'information archéologique : des fonds iconographiques et des bases de données
- contribue aux obligations réglementaires sur l'archivage de la documentation de fouille
- réalise des études documentaires en relation avec l'archéologie du Pas-de-Calais.
- collabore aux rapports d'opération - étude du contexte archéologique notamment
- contribue au recensement des sites connus et du dépouillement de documents d’archives
- intégre les données actuelles produites directement par le Conseil général ou par ses partenaires et
prestataires utiles pour l'archéologie (ex: enquête sur l'eau, sondages géotechniques, couverture
aérienne...)
- participe ponctuellement aux opérations d’archéologie préventive (diagnostics et fouilles) du Service,
en fonction du plan de charge est associé(e) aux actions de médiation notamment par la gestion du site
internet
- Participe à la conservation préventive par l’enregistrement, le traitement et le conditionnement du
mobilier archéologique et des archives du sol sous la responsabilité de l'archéologue chargée des
archives du sol, il, elle travaille en liaison avec les archéologues départementaux, responsables
d'opérations, la géoarcheologue, la secrétaire chargée de la Documentation et les médiateurs avec
d’autres services et directions du Département notamment la cellule SIG, les bureaux d'études voirie
ou bâtiments, les archives départementales. avec la cellule carte archéologique nationale au Service
régional de l'Archéologie, avec l'Université, le CNRS et l'INRAP
- Bonne connaissance de l'archéologie et de l'histoire de France septentrionale
- Bonne connaissance de l’exploitation des archives, notamment médiévales.
- Maitrise de la documentation archéologique
- Maîtrise des outils informatiques, bureautiques et graphiques standards (traitement de texte,
tableur, base de données, DAO, travail sur image...).
- Connaissance des outils SIG notamment Mapinfo serait apprécié
