E- REINFORCEMENT Rates for Reinforcement shall include for: Rolling margin and waste. Bending, cutting, fabricating, hoisting, and placing in position. Holding and supporting including temporary fixing supports, hangers. Cleaning and wire brushing. All spacing, laps etc. in reinforced steel other than design laps. Tensile strength of Tor Steel should be not less than 460 N/mm2 and Mild Steel should be not less than 250 N/mm2 Instructions Inevitable laps should be measured. Unless otherwise specified laps to be 50 times the diameter of the bar. Preparation, supplying & binding of cover blocks such that specified cover is maintained at outermost rod. Reinforcements should be CN, GTB or LANWA. Tensile strength of reinforcements should be tested if requested, from the institution where specified by the Engineer with contractor's expense. Some trade names are used only for the purpose of indicating the minimum level of quality and standards.
