Opening 1st Make-up Studio Brand Store in the Netherlands

Make-up Studio is well-known by make-up artists all over the world and is sold in more than 50 countries nowadays. On 24 November 2011 Make-up Studio opened its rst Brand Store in the Netherlands, located in a shopping centre in Amstelveen, near Amsterdam. A real candy store for women!

Make-up Studio translated its experience and know-how from the professional shop Back Stage into a complete new store concept. Make-up Studio has extended the already wide range of products and in addition they renewed a large number of packagings. All with the aim to provide even better service to the customer, both professional and consumer.

The Make-up Studio Brand Store presents four large visuals created by Dutch make-up artist Marc Lubach. Marc is well-known in the Netherlands for his work at tv series Kofetijd and his column in glossy magazine Talkies. Each of the four looks are based on a certain theme.
This look is all about colour! Marc selected a number of bright colours from the Eyeshadow Lumire range, like Magentha Mystique and Blue Emerald. With this colourful look you are ready to party! For this look Marc was inspired by red carpet creations from Hollywood movie stars. The model is wearing a beautiful dress by Dutch top designer Paul Schulten. The green colour from the feathers matches the green eyeshadow. For the lips Marc has chosen the Durable Lip Fluid. This product is up to 18 hours colour proof which ensures you perfectly coloured lips all night long!

Daily Elegance
Women nowadays are very busy and have little time for their make-up in the morning but they still like to look good. Especially for those women Marc has created this look: a natural make-up that suits every occasion and is easy to create. The eyeshadow colours are neutral with a little highlight in the corner of the eyes, while the lips show some more colour.

Glitter Party
If you want to make a statement this is your look! Make-up Studio offers a wide range of various glitter products, including the amazing Jewel Effects. This powder contains real silver glitter pigments and really make your make-up stand out. A deep black eyeliner is the base of the eye makeup. By drawing the eyeliner just a little outside the eye, in an upward line, it looks like the eyes are lifted and they really draw the attention.

Haute Couture
The amazing haute couture creation at the entrance of the Brand Store was created by Dutch make-up artist Pascale Tesser. A beautiful inspirational image and a real eye catcher. This really shows what Make-up Studio stands for. It is a stunning work of art but also very accessible.

Make-up Studio enables you to get a glimpse of the work of a make-up artist behind the scenes and created a backstage video of each of the 5 looks which play on large screens in the Brand Store. For those who are interested in the looks, Marc created special cards with a brief step-bystep explanation of the looks as well as a link to the videos through QR codes. The haute couture creation at the entrance of the Brand Store was created by Dutch make-up artist Pascale Tesser. A beautiful inspirational image and a real eye catcher!

Useful Videos
In addition to the exclusive Colour Advice tool Make-up Studio also developed a number of how to videos that give you tips. For example how to make thin lips look bigger and how to apply eyeshadow to make wide standing eyes look smaller. Moreover, the Brand Store offers various product videos in which the Make-up Studio make-up artist shows you how to use for example the Eyeshadow Lumire and Durable Lip Fluid. These videos also include extra tips from the make-up artist!

The attractive and well-shaped Perfect Blending Sponge is the perfect tool for the application and blending of foundation and concealer. It is best to moist the sponge before use. Use the wide side of the sponge to apply foundation onto forehead, cheeks and neck. The pointed side is ideal for reaching small areas such as the nostrils and in the corner of the eyes. This pointed side is also perfect for the application of concealer under the eyes. In addition, the Perfect Blending Sponge is also easy to cleanse. A true must have! Available as of now. New colour indication system for foundations
The new foundations mentioned below have been key in developing a new colour indication system. This new system makes it easier to compare colours from different foundation series. All colours from the new Face It Light Foundations and Velvet Foundations equal the existing Face It Foundations and Light Velvet Foundations. New however is the adding of a colour code. This code indicates whether a colour has a cool or warm tone. W stands for warm, whereas C stands for cool. The indication warm or cool is combined with a letter/number in order to easily nd a comparable colour within another foundation range. Since the textures of the foundations vary the colours can never be exactly the same. However, they are comparable. Soon, more Make-up Studio foundations will have an indication according to the new colour indication system.

Fluid Foundation Hydromat Protection new colours

The Fluid Foundation No Transfer is one of the best sellers within the Make-up Studio foundation range. As of mid June 2012 all rells from the Make-up Studio assortment will have a new and useful packaging. This applies to Eyeshadow, Blusher, Concealer and Lip Colour. Thanks to the new and compact packaging the rells can be easily stored in drawers.

Boxes
A large number of Make-up Studio boxes will be renewed in a more luxury edition. The Box Medium* is already available in this new edition with mirror and beautiful soft touch lid. As of March 2012 the Box Small will also be presented in this new packaging (PH10805 Box Small 2x Type B en PH10805-3 Box Small 3x Type A).
