MAC800 Modular Fully Configurable System for Extractive Gas Analysis

The innovative MAC800 system from SICK is a modular fully configurable system that meets the European Directives EN 15267 and EN 14181 for emission monitoring. The MAC800 versions provide monitoring to meet current directives as well as future requirements, for example emission monitoring in plants with lignite and hard coal firing, gas firing, gas turbines as well as measurement of greenhouse gases.

E X TR A C TI V E a n a ly s i s MADE To order Are you looking for the perfect technical solution to meet your measuring task? Does the solution meet the economic and technical requirements of the application? SICK offers the MAC800 extractive fully configurable system with standard subassemblies and components exactly for this purpose. Its design allows an optimized configuration tailored to individual requirements. Retrofits with analyzer modules as well as with gas processing devices are easy and cost efficient.

M o d u l a r S y s t em The standard system can be extended with additional components to meet the specific measuring task and local conditions. They are tuned to each other and integrated in a quality assurance system. The following can be configured: Up to 3 analyzer modules with up to 9 measuring components High-performance sample gas cooler Heated sample gas line and a large choice of sampling probes Matching filters and sample gas pumps Air conditioner or fan Automatic test gas supply NOx converter

E U DIR E C TI V E E N1 5 2 6 7 EN 15267 serves as the basis for the certification of measuring systems and requires, for example, the suitability of the complete measuring system including sampling and conditioning. SICK has additional requirements for quality and production process which exceed those of ISO 9001. The correct use and interaction of the components of an automatic measuring system (AMS) are very important. In addition to the analyzer modules, all other subassemblies used that could affect the measuring result must comply with the certification requirements.

Operated with a central control unit Very easy to upgrade or retrofit and quick exchange of subassemblies (plug & play) Optimized sample gas cooler (one or two-stage operation) including condensate pump, filter and flowmeter Dust and volume flow measurement from SICK products can be connected directly via the CAN bus Complete system mounted in a sheet steel or GRP cabinet: wired and tested Matching sampling systems

Meets current and future requirements due to simple exchange of subassemblies/components One system and therefore only one access to complete continuous emission measurement including dust and flow measurement Minimum effort required for project planning, cabling and installation as well as commissioning as a result of the already tested complete system Complete check/monitoring via a central control unit

Cold/dry technology is used for the MAC800 systems. This features: Gas sampling is performed via the probe with filter and the sample gas line (optionally heated) Gas drying is performed by highperformance coolers inside the analysis cabinet Cold measurement is performed by the analyzer modules.

As a fully configurable analysis system, MAC800 directly integrates all external sensors and measuring devices, e.g. the measurement of pressure, temperature, volume flow and dust. The gas conditioning sensors, including the cooler, are also connected to the central control unit SCU-P100.

The SCU-P100 thus combines all relevant data and measured values of the emission system and allows very simple connection to further networks using standard interfaces. Data is available at any time via remote access.
