Dear Friend in Christ,
Brazil

"Re-tooling." Ecclesiastes teaches us that there is an appropriate time for everything. After 16 years of work in Brazil, the time has come for me to return to the "campus" for some addition al, formal, study. My interest is in the area of Practical Ministries wherein the new insights and ideas that I gain can be integrated in a practical way

immediately in the work in Brazil.

I am doing these "re-fresher" courses during the

Summer at the Cincinnati Christian Seminary.

Visit of Brazilian Colleague: June 18th to July 16th. On June 18th, Justino Rosa, the minister of the Metropolitan Chapel Christian Church in Goiania and my main,
Brazilian, co-laborer in the over-all work of BCE, arrived in the U.S. It is

really an appropriate time for him to have this informative and inspirational ex perience. Justino will visit a few of our supporting congregations, a couple of Bible colleges and work with me in the booth at the National Missionary/North

American Christian Convention. His acquiring broader and deeper insights into the life of the Christian Church and Christian people who compose it should have
positive results for our work as he shares his inevitable enthusiasm with other
co-workers in Brazil.

Construction Project. At the end of July, it will be time for me to return to

Brazil again and the work planned out for the rest of the year. In addition to my normal work-load, a very special project is in the making, in October, a group of men from various congregations here in the USA plan to spend two weeks in Goiania doing the basic construction of a church building for a growing group in a needy neighborhood. In September, all of us in Brazil will be busy gathering the mat erials and making everything ready for the building crew's arrival. Even with volunteer labor, the estimated cost of this 24' X 60' building will still be
about US $18,800.

Teaching.
December).

In addition to any other activities and teaching duties in Goiania,

I plan to teach as usual (Pauline Epistles and Christian Ethics this time) at the

Christian Church Bible College in Brasilia during the second semester (AugustField and Family News. The news from Pam, the children and the churches is

all good news.

During these times when our family is separated, we feel an extra

measure of thankfulness for the way God meets our needs. In regard to church growth this year (until June 15th), there have been 43 baptisms and 29 transfers with an additional 31 people now being taught abut the' Christian life, church

membership, etc. and being prepared for baptism between now and July 20th. Some of these are results gained during the campaigns in which the Rosvitt Twins par
ticipated.

NMC/NACCBooth No.449. I am looking forward to seeing many of you in person

at the conventions. Please stop by the BCE booth (no.449) so that I might have the opportunity to thank you in person for your participation in the work of BCE
in Brazil.

Thank You. And, for those of you who will not be at the conventions, let me take this opportunity once again to express our heart-felt gratitude for the regular support that you provide for our work. Knowing that God is providing the guidance and strength and that, through you. He is providing the financial means we need, we enthusiastically face the tasks of church planting, evangelism and
leadership training in Brazil.
Yours in His joyous service.
