CAREER PATH EVALUATION and WORK EXPERIENCE

Career Path Evaluation: A career evaluation test was done on me by Prof. SFM Crous Educational Psychologist to provide me with guidance on my career choice. His evaluation outcome indicated that I am technical inclined and not academically as matriculated. The proposal from Prof. Crous directed me to follow a career in electrical engineering in which I have a great interest. Work Experience:
1) Sasol Synfuels:

Started my learner ship as an apprentice electrician with Sasol Synfuels on 21/07/2007 During this training period I have completed NQF Level 2, 3 and 4. During my learner ship I have gained my practical training / experience at the steam plant and utilities plants at Sasol Synfuels. On completion of my apprenticeship SSF had no vacant positions for electricians.
2) Sasol Nitro Factory:

Worked at the Sasol Nitro plant from Oct 2010 until Desember 2011 as a plant maintenance electrician through M&S Labour hire. My daily duties were electrical plant maintenance and repair.
3) SSF sulfur plant:

Worked at SSF Sulfur plant from Jan 2011 until March 2011 as an electrician through Labour hire. My daily duties were electrical plant maintenance and repair. My contract was not renewed due to a cost saving decision made by SSF. 4)Meyer Electrical Bethal Worked at Meyer Electrical Bethal as an installation electrician since March 2011 until Nov 2011. My duties were electrical maintenance, installations and fault finding / repair on domestic, commercial

and industrial installations. Meyer had decided to scale down on his construction business due to his health and reduced his employees.
5) Elegance Lighting Secunda

Worked at Elegance lighting as a technical representative and handled the Sasol accounts and orders from Dec. 2011 to 6 August 2012
6) Sasol Synfeuls

Temporarily worked as a contractor through Jomele Laboure hire from August 2012 at the Sasol Synfuels steam plant and utilities plants (Contract ended 31/01/2013) Additional experience: In my spare time I am assisting my father who is a Master Installation Electrician with his part time electrical contracting business on inspection, fault finding and wiring of premises in accordance to the SANS 10142 wiring code of practice. Personal believes: I have started my career with Sasol and qualified as an electrician but unfortunately there were no vacant positions available. I enjoyed working for SASOL and would really like to continue and excel my career within SASOL. I believe in an always positive attitude and to end each day knowing I had contributed something positively for the day. I am a very healthy / fitness awareness person and hates negativity. It is important for me to grow my technical experience and knowledge.
