The New CentriCon Control System

The new CentriCon control unit is used for the automatic program control of separators with self-cleaning bowl. A C7-626/GEA PLC module is integrated. The program controls the separator, the automatic valves and the connected pumps. In addition, all important operating parameters and conditions are monitored and processed.

The new CentriCon system offers you the following advantages: A graphics operator panel with keypad allows interaction through the operator; all messages can be output as a multilingual display Icon-controlled operator prompting simplifies handling and saves timeconsuming reading of the instruction manual Maintenance and service intervals are automatically indicated by CentriCon Error messages are output as plain text, as are help texts with notes on troubleshooting With CentriCon, we are able to deliver replacements within 24 hours Bus connection, e.g. Profibus-DP, is available as an optional extra

The graphics operator panel can display the following: Process diagram of the separator Condition of valves and pumps Bowl speed Motor current Set and actual times Measured values such as feed rate Parameters (e.g. minimum speed) DIP switches for preselections Control visualisation

Program control: The program can trigger total ejections and partial ejections at periodic intervals. Feed and discharge valves as well as pumps are controlled automatically. The TVE-C7 control unit monitors, for instance: Separator start Min. speed Motor overheating Motor overcurrent Ejection Operating water pressure (when required) Control air pressure (when required)

Inputs (preselection CIP, bowl overflow/total ejection) are available for the signals from an external cleaning control system. Product ON/OFF can also be controlled externally. Just as with the control program, the operator panel screens are programmed ex works. A programming unit or device can be used to modify the program. Parts of the control unit can be integrated in a compact control cabinet (e.g. with separator motor control for the separator, vibration monitoring, turbidity measurement etc.) or a central control room.
