2.2 Edit the Maintenance Item 1. Select the appropriate Issuer & Type 2. Check the appropriate Maintenance Item Parameters, particularly the following: a. One Time Item If ticked, you can only enter a Life Code with a Threshold Value, i.e. you cannot enter a repetitive Value. Once carried out these Maintenance Items are dropped from the list and will no longer appear on a Forecast. b. No extension allowed This is for items where no time or life escalation is possible c. Scrap This needs to be selected for items which are discarded after their life expires d. Forecast Longest Life - if you have an MI set which is limited (life) of 5000 hours or 18 months. Normally the system (by default) will forecast whichever limit falls first. But this MI option will forecast on this longer life. e. Finite Due Time Item - When carrying out Finite Due Time Item's, you will set the Due Time only on an asset by asset basis, f. Variable Life Time: This allows you to add a life code to an MI but no values can be set, all you are doing is saying which life codes are controlling the item.

This will then create unset MIs for all aircraft(s) which belong to the model set as applicable to the MI. If there are more than one MI locations then more than one MI will appear as unset items. You can observe this, as shown in figure 5, in the status tab of the MI. If unset the MI will appear in red.

From the MI Grid of the Registration double click the unset item which you will be able to see in red color and select the correct Work Order no and Task no, this is a mandatory field. ii. From the Asset Grid of Registration: while doing Attach and Detach if the MI is applicable to component Model system gives you opportunity to set the MI for that Asset. From the status page, as shown in figure 6. By selecting the unset MI and clicking on set MI button you can launch the form for setting the MI. The work order and task fields are mandatory for setting the MI. They tell the system when the MI was last carried out. However when carrying out initial records loading it is quite
