Instructors Profile: Faculty of Management Studies with 8 years of varied experience. He has 5 years of experience in industry and 3 years in Academics. He worked as Accounts Executive in SBI Factors and Commercial Services Pvt. Ltd. Also did marketing for FMCG products and full filled his entrepreneurial aspirations. In Academics he has handled finance elective papers and core papers in MBA program under Bharathidasan University for 3 years He is a MBA graduate from University of Madras. He did his project in the area of Credit appraisal and working capital assessment at Indian Overseas Bank -Adayar branch. Did his M.Phil Research program from Bharathidasan University and secured first class with distinction. Completed Tally graduate course, NCMP Level 2 certification from National Stock exchange, UGC-NET and TN-SET.

He has presented 8 research papers in various national and international conferences and published two research articles in international journals.

Subject Description:
Organizational Behaviour is multi disciplinary subject which has its roots in psychology, anthropology, sociology, management science, political science, economics, engineering and medicine. The subject provides a firm foundation about the historical background of the birth of organizational behaviour and explains its nature, scope and significance in the present day context. Individuals play a major role in any organization and they are the building blocks of the organization. Individual behaviour differs widely. It depends on the personality, perception, attitude, values, learning, emotions, and motivation. This subject vividly explains the role of each and every factor in shaping the individual behaviour. It throws light on the designing of organizational structure and the significance of various designs. It also explains the process of group formations and discusses the different dimensions of group. Leadership plays a dynamic role in any organization. This subject portrays different leadership styles and the influence of organizational power and politics. The interaction of individual behaviour, organizational structure and leadership decides the organizational culture and climate. It produces output in the form of job satisfaction, organizational stress, organizational change, organizational development and effectiveness. These issues are also discussed

Major Assignments: 1. Prepare a self study report describing you in terms of your perception, attitudes, values, personality, emotions, learning and motivation. 2. Analyze any social or organizational groups of your choice in terms of group formation, group objectives, group norms, group membership, group communication, group control, group conflict, group leadership and group culture. 3. Conduct a personal interview with any known person working in an organization and prepare a first-hand report of the organizational culture and climate, organizational stress, job satisfaction, motivation, leadership, organizational change and organizational development prevailing in the organization.
