ANNOUNCEMENTS TODAY
There will be no Children's Church for the rest of August. It will begin again on Sept. 1. I am taking a short break so I can plan the next lessons and get sign -up sheets prepared. Truman week at Truman State University August 17 th through August 23rd. Campus Christian Fellowship is looking to area churches for prayers and financial support. Over 1300 new students arrived at Truman yesterday.

OTHER ANNOUCEMENTS
Cambre and Chelsea Thrasher will have their first baby around Sept. 27 th. There will be a baby shower at the church on Sat. Aug. 31 st at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The month of August we are asking ladies to bring items for the kitchen or other areas to help out with the needs of the church. Here is a list of some of those items: Quart or gallon size storage bags or containers, saran wrap,foil,foam coffee cups,10.25 inch dinner paper plates, dessert plates, 16 oz plastic cups, paper towels. These can be left in the kitchen on the table. Women's Council annual salad supper will be Wednesday September 11 at 6:30 PM here at the church. All are welcome,please bring a salad and join us. SCCA Women's Retreat will be Friday, September 20 and Saturday September 21 Speaker is Kay Moll. There is a registration form on the bulletin board or you may see Carolyn Read or Dawn Moore for more information. We hope for a group of ladies to go.
