TOTAL REBATES
*a) Rebates are for the first new natural gas appliance of each type at a given address, except as indicated for Gas Lights.
b) Each appliance rebate cannot exceed the total installed cost for that appliance as indicated by invoice, receipt, or proposal.
c) In existing homes, rebates are for natural gas-to-natural gas appliance replacements, as well as to electric-to-natural gas, propane-to-
natural gas, and oil-to-natural gas appliance replacements.
d) Must have or install at least a water heater or gas space heating to receive range, firelog, dryer, grill, pool/spa or gas light rebates.
e) “Combination appliances”, which heat the home as well as the water, qualify for the furnace + water heater rebates ($1,375) only if a
complete new system is installed (high capacity gas water heater, hydronic loop and controls).
f) $2,000 Gold Package Rebates applies if a new water heater, new furnace [or a combination appliance], and either a new gas range or
new dryer are installed – all in one job. The $425 “Gold Package Bonus” brings the total rebate to $2,000.
This agreement is made between the City of Tallahassee and the above named homeowner or homebuilder pertaining
to construction at above address(es) for the purposes stated herein and agreed to as follows:
1. The Homeowner or Homebuilder agrees:
a. To install the appliances checked above and obtain required City and/or County inspections of installed appliances.
b. To conform to all applicable City, County and State Building and/or Energy Codes.
2. The City agrees:
a. To pay rebates to the Homebuilder signing this agreement for new natural gas appliances (not stubouts) installed
in new construction prior to issuance of CO, as indicated by the City’s Final Gas Inspection Report.
b. To pay rebates to the Homeowner signing this agreement for new natural gas appliances (not stubouts) newly
installed in existing home after issuance of a CO; homebuilder and homeowner cannot both receive rebates for the
same appliances.
c. To provide a free gas service tap to meter location if gas appliance installations include a gas water heater.
3. The City may, at its option, terminate this agreement if the Homeowner or Homebuilder fails to carry out any obligations set
forth in section 1 above.
4. The parties hereby represent that the individuals signing have full right and authority to bind those parties as set forth herein.
