General Terms & Conditions

Prior to Movement of Containers / Delivery of Cargo MCFSs Dues have to be cleared. Services tax and other govt. levies will be applicable at the prevailing rates at the time of billing. Payments of any charges are not a guarantee for services, which is STRICTLY on the completion of all custom and other statutory formalities. Dishonor Of Cheques Would attract a penalty of Rs.5000/It is presumed that all consignments (Import/ Export) being received at CFS are adequately insured against all possible risk during transportation and storage and the Company (Mundhra Container Freight Station Pvt.Ltd..) assumes no Liability in this respect.An undertaking from shipper has to be provided in advance. Hazardous cargo declaration with all details may please be provided for safe handling, stacking & segregation norms compliances.MCFS reserves the right for allowing or rejecting specific hazardous commodities in the premises. In case of Export Cargo Like Cotton bales/fabrics/hazardous/dangerous goods copy of the valid insurance policy has to be provided in advance The cargo Details /weight/Pkgs etc.. declared by shipper on all documents is presumed to be S.T.C (Said To Contain). The Warai Charges are NOT Applicable at MCFS. Movement Request of Export Shall be confirmed 12 hrs prior to the Port Cutoff. Container and cargo storage charges are reckoned on per day basis. Cargo storage charges are reckoned from the date of carting or de-stuffing to the date of stuffing or loading, both days inclusive. Storage Charges for <12 MT of cargo will be charged @150 Rs.Per CBM (Cubic Meter )per day Cargo requiring any special services, dunnage or lashing materials or additional equipment for handling will be charged to the account of cargo. Shipping line will be required to pay any customs overtime required for work done at the CFS. Line should ensure that they inspect empty containers when they are brought to the CFS before placing in CFS empty stack. Any requirement for inspection afterwards will be charged as per the service requested. CFS will not accept any SSR charges for export movement submitted within 24 hrs of vessel cut off. CFS will also not be responsible for SSR due to any change in the cut off time. Delayed Payments will attract interest of 24% on the Invoice amount. As per the latest norms of tonnage restriction for road haulage, any penalties imposed by the Govt. Authorities will be recoverable from the concerned party. Once the Sealed Containers have left the premises of MCFS,MCFS is not liable for any Loss/Damage/Shortage /Moisture Loss .
