What springs to mind when you hear the term social issues?

The thing that comes to my mind is issues that affect every society, great and small. The list of those social problems is huge and not identical from area to area. Some predominant social issues include the growing divide between rich and poor, domestic violence, unemployment, pollution, racism and sexism, and many others. Sometimes social issues arise when people hold very different opinions about how to handle certain situations strong disagreements on how to solve problems create division in social groups.

Do you like discussing social issues in your English class?

As far as I know, social issues is one of the widest fields to discuss, there are lots of different matters to talk about, moreover, people can support different ideas which makes the conversation even more interesting. So I definitely think that social issues are a good topic to discuss. What are the biggest social issues affecting your country today? As many other developed countries, the social problems that are affecting Spain might be the growing divide between rich and poor, domestic
violence, unemployment, pollution, racism, sexism, abortion

Are you directly affected by any social issues?

. On the whole, when social problems are mentioned they to refer to the problems that affect people living together in a society. And as part of a huge society we are touched by every problem that involves it, so I do think that I as well as every member of our society are directly affected by social issues.

Well, I would say that Hollywood and music industry take a social issue and, as well as explore the human issues that arise from that problem, will try to 'solve' the problem and insist on teaching us a lesson. I think they to try to control the public's response to complex social issues, instead of leaving an open-ended conclusion. As I see it the power they have in peoples opinion is too strong, and I dont know to what extent it is positive or not.

Is your government good at dealing with social issues? Im afraid its not.It may be due to the crisis we are in, but Spain is definetely not taking the right measures to fight and solve social issues, and problems like immigration, unemployment are more dramatic than ever. Which social issues affect the whole world? Global issues today cause tremendous problems to the whole world. Today, issues such as terrorism, the environment, population, global migration, urbanization, and economic instability plague our world. The most crucial of these problems could be religion-based terrorism, urbanization and population, and environmental pollution and destruction. Do social issues affect rich people, or are they simply poor proples problems?

Its virtually impossible to avoid being affected, the only difference between the rich and the poor is that wealthy people can ___ difficulties easier than lower classes, which is not fair, because as we live in the same society we should have the same opportunities.

What would you like to be able to? There are lots of things i wish i could do, but talking about social issues, as everyone would say, Id like to stop any kind on violence all over the world; to give food and help to the most underdeveloped and give a ___ life to every single individual. What social issues has internet created? How is your society dealing with them? Although internet has a wide range of benefits, some social issues as the lack of privacy or bullying have appeared since the computer industry was created. Using the internet means you need to have some precaution and dont give any kind of your personal information, but problems as bullying are really worrying and people who suffer from them need extra help, from psychologists, and as they are very common nowadays, there are several campaigns to encourage those young people. Are social issues the same as economic issues and environmental issues? As i see it, economic and environmental issues are social problems as they directly affect society. Moreover they are connected, because issues like climate change and the economic crisis are completely related, ___investments are needed to regulate climate situation, but as we are in an important economic crisis, ___ Would you like a job that involves addressing social issues? How are social issues different in America, China, the Arab world, India?

Social problems are interconnected, so if something change it will mean that other issues will be also different, no social problem stands alone; each is related to other problems, and in the next few years problems of class inequality, problems of family and work, environmental damage, technological haves and have-nots, genetic manipulation, problems associated with aging or the uses and misuses of information should be even more worrying than they are today. Do you think that one day, all social issues will be gone?

What new social issues do you think will arise in the future?

I do think thats completely imposible , even in relatively isolated, sparsely populated

areas, a group will encounter social problems. Part of this is due to the fact that any members of a society living close enough together will have conflicts. Its virtually impossible to avoid them, and even people who live together in the same house dont always get along seamlessly. What answers do you have to a social issue?

What is the best way to study and follow social issues? Well, honestly, i think thats an easy question, the best way os study and follow social issues is by studing and following the society itself, i think it is the best and the only way to do it.
