Knee Deep in Wonder

It was Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav who one day noticed one of his followers rushing about in the marketplace, busy with the ordinary affairs of the day. Nachman came up to him. Haikel, he said, you are so busy. Tell me what have you seen here today? Oh, Rabbi, Haikel answered, I have seen merchants selling, peasants buying, just the usual business of the market on a very busy day. But Haikel, said Nachman, have you taken time to notice the sky? The sky is beautiful today. What is the use of all this rushing and bustling about, if you dont take time to look at the sky? A psalmist once looked at the sky and wrote, O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is thy name.When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy ngers, the moon and the stars which thou hast established O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is thy name in all the earth! (Ps. 8:1, 3, 9). In another story, it was told of the Magid (preacher) of Mezritch that he began each day by walking down to the pond at dawn and staying there for a while. Why does your master do this? one of his followers was asked. He goes down to the pond each morning to listen to the songs with Chanting bird and owing fountain Call us to rejoice in thee. Amen which the frogs praise God, the Hasid replied. He wants to learn them, and it takes a long time to learn those songs. Look at the birds of the air, Jesus said. When you look at the bird, you are looking at a theologian, said Luther. Birds keep busy building their nests and gathering their food and they never let worry about tomorrow rob them of their song. YOUTH FELLOWSHIP Youth Fellowship meets fourth Saturdays of every month at 03:00pm at the residence of a parish member. Malayalam Service Holy Communion Service every rst and third Sundays at 10:00 am. English Service Holy Communion Service every second and fourth Sundays at 10:00 am and Divine Worship Service on other Sundays at 10:00 am. Special thanksgiving prayers will conducted for birthday and wedding anniversaries during the communion services. The Bible study, on the Gospel according to Mathew lead by our Vicar, starts at 09:00am every Sunday.
