3.3.1 Hooks .- Unless othervise specified, all hooks shall be of forged steel, hol.lovgroun~h filed-out points. The hmks shall be of the ringed type and shall be tinned or plated to resist corrosion. Hooks shall be temp>red, tough, flexible, and resilient. 3.3.2 Leaders.- Wire lenders nhall be of stainless steel, and shall be attached to snnps and swivels with not less than six turns of vire. 3.3.11 Lines.- Unless othetwise sp=ified. nYlOn lines shall be hard braided, waterproofed, and heat set to reduce stretch. Lines may be either camouflage or mist in color. 3.3.5 Flies.- Flie$ shnl.1be of the vet tYP@. Md shall not be snelled. Flies shall be securely tied to prevent the flies from coming apart. 3.3.6.1 Spinners. - Spimers shall consist of a spinner, spinner and feathered body, and tail minno. type bait. The spinner and spinner vire shall be of polished stainless steel. The spimer vire shall be approximately 0.020 inch in dicmeter and she.1-l. be provided vith a coiled lock to facilitate changing of the bait. The spinner shall be either of the single vane or blade, or of the propeller type. The bait shall be constricted by using a No. 6 hook having n length of approximately 1-3;8 inches. The lure shall veigh approxicstely 1/20 ounce and ohall httvean over-all iength of aPPrOxfitely 2-3/b inches. Nickel or chrome finished brfissmay be used for ihe construction of the spinner. Spoons shall be of the single-blade, egg-shaped, dished CYPS 3.3.6.2 =.vith either fixed or free-swing hooks. The spoons shall be stcmped from brass and plated or enameled to resist corrosion. Each spoon shall, on the forvard end, be provided with a swivel or split ring for attachment to the line. Spoons having freesvittging hooks shall have the hooks attached by means of a split ring through a hole spoons, the hmk shall be attached to the in the rear of the blcde. Changes in manufacturers part numbers shall be governed by the drawing number requirements of 14 IL-STC-1OO. 3.5 Kit assembly.-

3.5.2 Packing of items.- The components of the kit, after being prepared as specified, shall be packed in the container in such manner that there is a minimum

3.8 Instruction booklet.- The fishing instructions shall be prepared in psmphlet form, apprOxi~tely 2-51~ by 2-518 inches, on parchment paper, in waterproof ink, with printi~ on one side of the paper only. The booklet shall contain n complete description of how and under what conditions each component should be used md genersl suggestions for fishing. It shall be prepared in easy-to-read form in such maimer that a completely Inexperienced person vill know what equipment to use and hov to use it.
