Sir, ethically we have not try to do this but it depends up on situation. If there is less lose compare to profit and there on another option for the decision then we have to do it, concentrating on the reputation of the company.

Usually we lie when we need to hide something or conceal a fact which can prove to b a fatal for other person but if my lie is beneficial for company and I see no damage caused because of it, I think I can lie in that case.

Sir, One would lie to hide a problem. To lie I need to WORK OUT a lie and a 100 other lie to hide the first lie. Instead of channeling my thoughts in that direction I would rather WORK OUT a possible solution to the problem. That would be a long term approach than saying a lie which would one day be revealed certainly. Lying would be the absolute last option.

Sorry sir/mam, if it hurts you but I cannot lie for the company because lying for the company is a habit of hiding the facts and facts should not be hided. A goodwill earned by being honest is always better than a very short term benefit by being lair and scared of spotted.

Sir, in my childhood days, my mother used to tell me that if you lie once, you have to tell 100 more lies in support of that lie. So, I would never lie for my company. May be my lie would give a false reputation to my company, but a day will come when the truth will be disclosed and that will endanger my company's reputation. The trust of the customer once lost, would never come back. But I assure you to find out the alternate solution of that problem. Lie is not the only solution.

I don't think such kind of problem arise in this leading company. Instead of going for lie we should think about other best alternative. If I will lie it will impact the goodwill and this lie leads to other hundreds of lies. Honesty is right solution to all problems.

It depends on the situation. If a lie can make everything perfect without hurting anybody why shoud not. But saying a lot of lies for the sake is deffinitely bad.

"I will never do anything to hurt the company. " A reputed company will never let that situation to arise in 1st place as a lie will win momentarily but when the truth comes in light it may bring ill fame to company. So I think lie never does any good to anyone.

So in that situation our company will be in great loss and trust of customers once broken is not easy to get back. So i'll never lie for the company and yes of course think in different manner to sort out the problem.

Yes I can and I cannot. I can when the company can get big and long term benefits and there is no chance to degrade the repute of the company. And I can't when there is a small or short term benefit for the company.

Yes sir, definitely. When we were at childhood mom would lie for us to eat by saying that moon but the moon can't come. But the child may felt happy. But when mom would lie with dad it is mistake. So I think lie will depend on the situations. If company will be in problem If I would lie then It will be helpful. Then we might lie in many situations which will help others in our life. No person is there without saying lie in the entire life. It is my opinion.

I can't give a straightforward answer for this because when it comes to lying, lying is not associated with straightforwardness, lying makes a situation complex, so I can give only a complex reply. If I see something where there is no major harm being done, then I would not mind. In practicality, a lot of things are based on a little bit of lying - you make commitments which you're not actually capable of fulfilling but then you need to make it to win confidence from your clients. Ofcourse you should not over-commit, that's where you need to be careful in choosing when to lie. However, there are times when I can't do so. For example, if there is an unethical practice going on in an organization, I can't lie just because I work for that organization. If I speak up the truth, the organization won't actually be hit because whatever unethical practices, the organization is doing is because of a few individuals and if the organization can handle them appropriately, then the problem can be sorted out.

I would not like to lie for the company because I know If we are right then we need not to tell lie.

"Big or Small" Lie is LIE. I don't think that I have to take any decision which is based on lie. Because it will affect the goodwill of the company. It takes too much time to create goodwill and few second to loose it. If I tell lie for the betterment of the company it may be beneficial for some times only because we have to speak so many lies to hide one truth. So we should eliminate lie. It will be helpful for the company reputation.

The word lie nowadays consist within Professional Ethics, sometime we say the support engineer is on the way rather then saying he not yet started. But when a lie cost something big it needs to be avoided and face the reality even we loose something today will gain because of our Ethics in the long run.
