The reach and capacity of the services provided depends on resources, needs, demands, and qualification of the patients. TBCS has distinguished operational method, in which we work closely with breast cancer patients and families, to help them with their predicament and suffering. We at The Breast Cancer Society strive to help with and alleviate the sufferings caused by breast cancer. We offer a wide variety of extensive versatile services, to women, fighting breast cancer around the globe. Other than financial and other forms of direct assistance, the Breast Cancer Society also provides education and referral services. One of our distinct services includes providing in home assistance and car to women in the United States of America. Collaboration with other Charity Organizations Services offered by the Breast Cancer Society, are also extended to hospitals, clinics, and other facilities, dedicated to the eradication, prevention and treatment of Breast Cancer. Additionally we also fund researches dedicated and determined to find a cure for breast cancer. Facts and Statistics that You Need to Know That a woman is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes? That one in every eight women, who live up to eighty five years of age, will develop breast cancer? That after lung cancer, breast cancer is the leading cause of death and it is the leading cause of death among women, who are between ages of 40-55? Over shockingly seventy percent cases of breast cancer are detected through breast self exams? Not all lumps are detected by touch! A regular self exam and mammography is recommended!

That not all lumps are cancerous? Dont panic eight out of ten lumps are non cancerous! Call a doctor for help. That mammography is actually a low dose x-ray that can detect breast cancer before a lump can be recognized? Upon initial discovery, it has a five year success rate of survival of over ninety six percent There are a total of two million people in America, who have survived breast cancer.

Online donations, mail donations, and in person donations of money are most welcome. Your donations are what allow us to keep running our operations and help us provide exemplary services which help in the fight against cancer. You can also contribute by donating real estate, vehicles or boats. All of which are used in one way or the other to help with building the infrastructure to fight breast cancer. Hosting your own event Sometimes we just need the right kind of event to attract the crowd and get people motivated towards a cause. Many people are unaware about the troubles plaguing breast cancer patients. So you can host an event to collect funds, awareness campaign or you can host an educational event. distribution program. You can even volunteer in our educational and awareness drives. The TBCS Program Different people have different needs and are struck with different forms of adversity. Keeping in mind the specific needs of breast cancer patients, the Breast Cancer Society has developed several programs to tackle most of the problems being faced by breast cancer patients. The following is a list of our programs. Temporary Cash Assistance Deserving patients and applicants receive monthly assistance in the form of fixed grants of around hundred dollars. The funds may be used at the discretion of the patients. This program is targeted to help patients meet their needs other than medical and cancer related. This grant aims to help patients and families of patients suffering from breast cancer with their every day needs. This program is available for a maximum of six months only. Hope Supply Program We partner with several manufacturers and retailers. All of whom willingly donate with several personal and non-personal essentials items. These items are available for breast cancer patients at our Hope Supply Centres free of cost. We ensure confidentiality of our partners and patients. The clearance and over stock items donated are listed as follows: Prosthetics, Bras, Wigs, Bedding, Hygiene Products, Clothing, and household products. Home Based Care Program We provide in home assistance to patients with breast cancer. Patients suffering from breast cancer are usually taken care of by friends and family. At times the extremity of the disease makes one dependent on others. Some people are not fortunate enough to have loving family members or friends to look after them. So for patients without anyone to help them out, we provide experienced, trained, affectionate and vigilant caregivers. A care giver can be scheduled to come to your home to help you or your family with by providing help around with the patient and performing helping with chores related to the patient. Hope Scholarship Fund This program is dedicated to helping the offspring of the patients, affected with breast cancer, with financial assistance for the continuation of their education. As sometimes the financial burden of cancer treatment adds to

the hardship and uncertain financial condition may render the family unable to sponsor their children. The Hope Scholarship Fund is there to help with the educational development of their children. The Hope Scholarship Fund is designated to empower children, with parents suffering from breast cancer, by aiding them in their education, thereby providing them hope for a better future Empower One Scholarship Fund Helps to empower breast cancer affected patients by taking care of their educational needs thereby allowing them to become independent and allows them to gain self reliance. It helps them provide an opportunity to become financially more stable. International Medical Aid We collaborate worldwide with reputable institutions, organizations, and individuals dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. We focus on providing assistance to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and facilities, in impoverished and underdeveloped countries. We provide aid and other forms of assistance such as medical supplies and equipment to individual and organizations to help with breast cancer prevention and eradication. Currently we are working in ten different countries. Without this help many people would not get a fighting chance that they deserve. Bulk of our donations come from pharmaceutical companies and manufactures in USA. Our Commitment The breast cancer society is among the few breast cancer charity organizations in the USA which focus on providing direct financial aid and assistance to patients suffering from breast cancer. We feel that it is our moral obligations to use your donations in the best possible and the most effective way. Therefore our aforementioned comprehensive program abides by our mission which is to provide relief and aid to the patients suffering from breast cancer and to their families, along with providing assistance, support and aid, to the critically ill, impoverished, individuals and organizations which share the common goal of helping those suffering from breast cancer. Annually, over a thousand men and around two hundred thousand women are diagnosed with the horrible disease of breast cancer. What exacerbates this tragedy is that the person who develops this disease is either the sole bread winner or nurture of the family. A lot of the cases that we across are even more tragic, as the patients are women, form single parent home. Where not only are they playing the role of the mother but is also the sole bread winner. Imagining what the child goes through, imagine losing not only your only source of guidance and care but loosing the only one catering to your needs or looking after you. Most of these women, due to the rigors and adversity of the treatment are unable to work and take care of their children. There are several valuable researches and charities dedicated to finding the cure, researching preventive methods, and providing public education. Even though these missions are vital and essential on the grand scheme of things, but they do not provide direct relief to people who are suffering from breast cancer and are unable to unburden the family of the patient. We take it as our obligation to help and support breast cancer patients, to whom the most important thing is getting the funds to pay for the treatment, or money for medication, or money to buy food, and money and material for the well being of their child. If people like you, did not enable us to support them on your behalf, then those people will be deserted in the battle field. They will be left to fend for themselves without anyone to lend a helping hand. Your financial and direct assistance is the last line of defence and the first line of attack.
