Incident: Homicide Location: 5000 block of Durant Date/Time: 09/07/2013 @ 23:34 Victim #1: Carnez Winslett, a 36-year old black male of the 5000 block of Durant Victim #2: 21-year old black male Victim #3: 49-year old black male Victim #4: 38-year old black male Suspect(s): Unknown The four victims were located lying on the sidewalk and street in front of the above location. Victim #1 was unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Victim #2 suffered a gunshot would to his abdomen. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed as serious. Victim #3 suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed stable. Victim #4 suffered a gunshot wound to his ankle. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed as stable. Witnesses have indicated that suspects operating s silver four-door sedan had shot at the victims as they stood at above location. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1st (Shooting) Location: 4500 block of Margareta Date/Time: 09/08/2013 @ 0336 Victim: 30-year old black male Suspect: Unknown The victim was shot in the arm and shoulder by a black male who fled the scene in a grey Chevy Impala. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed as stable. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1st Location: 5000 block of Christy Blvd Date/Time: 09/08/2013 @ 0001 Victim: 38-year old white male Suspects: 2 unknown white male teens The victim was standing in front of an apartment at the above location when the suspects walked out of the gangway and approached him. Both suspects began to hit the victim with bricks. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the right flank with a small knife. Both subjects ran north on Kingshighway. EMS responded but the victim refused medical treatment of any kind against the advice of EMS personnel. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1st Location: 1015 S Broadway Rallys Date/Time: 09/07/13 @ 2329 Victim #1: 23-year old black female Victim #2: 27-year old black Victim #3: 24-year old black female Suspect #1: Unknown, B/M, 59, thin build, light complexion, red shirt, and ARMED-large silver handgun Suspect #2: Unknown, B/M, light complexion, white muscle shirt, blue jeans, dark hat, and ARMED-silver handgun Victim #1 was inside a car with Victim #2 when the two unknown male suspects began shooting at each other on the street. Victim #1 was struck in the chest. She was taken privately to an area hospital where she is listed as serious. Victim #2 was not injured. Victim # 3 was injured by glass shards as a result of a bullet striking a window at the restaurant. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1st Location: 3900 to 4100 block of Kossuth Date/Time: 09-08-2013 @ 0423 Victim #1: 22-year old black female Victim #2: 18-year old black female Suspect: Three to six unknown black males. The suspects were operating 3 vehicles The victims stated they were on Kossuth close to Fairground Park visiting with friends when they observed 3 vehicles driving at a high rate of speed shooting at each other in the area. In the process of hearing the gunshots, Victim #1 realized the rear window of her vehicle was shot out. The victims left the area and contacted police. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1st Location: 4200 block of N. 21st Date/Time: 09/07/13 @ 2324 Victim(s): 1) black male 53 (injured); 2) black male 44 (injured); 3) black male 37 (not injured); 4) black male 36 (not injured); 5) black male 55 (not injured); 6) black male 56 (not injured); 7) black male 40 (not injured); 8) black female 84 (not injured property damage only) Suspects: Unknown The victims were outside when at least two black male suspects appeared from a gangway and fired gunshots into the group, striking Victim #1 in the face and back. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical/stable condition. Victim #2 was shot in the back and leg. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious/stable condition. Victims #3-7 were not injured. Victim #8 was not at the scene, but her vehicle was damaged by gunfire. The investigation is ongoing.
