Job Description Position Title: Managing Director Job Level: Managerial Reports to: Board of Directors The Managing Director is the Chief Executive and responsible for overall direction and administration of the Company in line with the policy directives of Board of Directors (BoD). The MD will assist the BoD in charting the blue print of policies and ensure effective implementation to achieve the set goals. The heads of all departments will report to the MD, who will report to BoD regarding the operations and performance of the Company. MD will ensure that the work ethics and environment in the company is conducive to promote positive achievement of the companys vision and mission statement. He will regulate, modify and implement changes aimed to boost the employees efficiency and productivity. He will be expected to employ and implement best HRM practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for coordination among different tiers of Government, District Government, LG & CD Department, Chief Minister Secretariat etc. 2. Leading the executive/senior management of the company including hiring and firing employees. 3. To have primary planning responsibility for all activities within FWMC. Incorporate all subsidiary plans into strategic plan and arrange its approval by the Board of Directors. 4. To assist the Board of Directors in complying with their role under the corporate governance and lead their thinking in terms of policy making and long range fiscal planning. 5. Execute the services and asset management agreement with the local governments with respect to transfer of SWM functions, labour and assets to the company. 6. Constantly review and advise all employees to adhere to organizational goals whilst improving communication skills, observing office professional mannerism and improving the quality of deliverables by adhering to defined quality standards. 7. To establish proper business plan and procedures, adequate safeguards to see that all financial and other business transactions are carried out in a professional and efficient manners. 8. To establish the required coordination levels and monitoring mechanism for efficient integrated SWM. 9. To work closely with the BoD and keep inform the board about the key management and fiscal decisions.

10. To be responsible for all FWMC business. 11. To safeguard FWMC assets with responsibility for maintenance, improvement and also prudent investment for funds. 12. Act as impetus for innovative and viable solutions to address and improve SWM issues in Faisalabad. 13. To be responsible for formulation and implementation of SWM bye-laws. 14. Responsible to plan and implement policies of cost recovery for SWM services by devising a recycling policy and revenue generation plan to attain maximum financial sustainability. 15. To ensure implementation of the decision of BoD.

Qualifications:
Minimum 16 years of education with a background in Public Administration, Engineering (Environment/ Civil) or Social Sciences Excellent leadership qualities Exceptional writing and presentation skills Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex issues to clients, contractors, regulators and stakeholders

Experience
The incumbent should have at least ten years of experience in public administration/urban development / municipal services. Age: Maximum 45 years
