Position: Intern - Student Engineers (Design, Stress and Liaison)

Department: Engineering and Product Development

Department Description
The Engineering and Product Development Department is responsible for the Structural Design, Analysis, and Disposition of composite aerospace structures.

Position Description
As an Engineering student you will be responsible for assisting the Design, Stress and Liaison Groups with various projects and assignments.

Representative Major Tasks


Working with the assigned Engineering Group assist with assigned Design, Stress and Liaison tasks as assigned. Additional tasks to assist Engineers on development projects as required. Other duties as assigned.

Qualified Candidates
Must have a Canadian high school diploma or recognized equivalence. Must be at least a 2nd year Mechanical or Aerospace engineering student or engineering technologist student. (Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies) Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Must have good communication and problem solving.

CAD experience would be considered an asset Experience/knowledge of aerospace structures and/or composite materials would be beneficial; Hands-on experience with tools would be considered an asset. Basic project management skills preferred. Experience with web based programming would be considered an asset. Demonstrated experience on extracurricular teams and/or extracurricular projects would be considered an asset. Previous Boeing experience would be considered asset.

Position Duration
Monday Friday: 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Typically 4 8 month full time term (8 month COOP preferred, part time during remainder of year or full time 12 16 mo internship will also be considered)

Compensation for Term


The successful candidate will receive a competitive student wage based on market statistics and the students year in their post-secondary education.
