PLEASE DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE BLACKFULLA GRAPEVINE...IF YOU WANT TO KNOW COME TO THE MEETINGS, IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT IS NOT RIGHT ...BE THE CHANGE AND MAKE THE CHANGE!!! SO FAR A LOT OF OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN DOING A LOT OF FUNDRAISING AND WORK AND ORGANISING AND IT HAS NOT BEEN EASY. SO PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP MAKE THIS REUNION A GREAT SUCCESS FOR OUR FAMILY AND INPARTICULAR FOR OUR YOUNGER GENERATION AND FOR OUR ELDERS ESPECIALLY NANA BARETT PLEASE HELP AS WE NEED IT!! Purpose and Vision of our Family Reunion.


We are one people, one family, one mob, the purpose of our family coming together and having a good time and enjoying the company of each other is simple. There are two main reasons for this reunion, One is to bring the younger generation together so they know who the are, where they come from and how they are connected to one another . The second reason is to honor, respect and celebrate the elders that we still have, especially Nanna Barrett.. Over the last couple of weeks a lot of information has not gone out to our family members and the information has been misunderstood which has caused a little bit of confusion hopefully this news letter will clarify things and from this point on all enquiries regarding the reunion can be made to the Mungalla Office on 4777 8718 so the right information goes out and folks are not hearing things second hand.. We want to keep the reunion simple and because there are only a few of the family members organizing things there are going to be mistakes. So there is a big call out now to volunteers to help so contact us to put your hand up to help. We wish everyone safe travels up to Ingham. And remember, Any questions or concerns please contact Jacob at the Mungalla Office. Food The plan with food for the Saturday night party is that all family are being asked to please bring a pot of food. Then we can put it all together to feed everybody. It was suggested we set up elders table and have volunteers serve them. So if you would like to help call and put your name down. Ph 47778718. Shirts Each Family was to organise Reunion Shirts. There may be some Cassady shirts left but contact Natasha Parsgaard on 0411638759. Also Nywaigi Knights shirt may be available so contact Ms Marshall Wacando on 0434551121.

The amount that we have to come up with in two weeks is $3729.00. Fundraising efforts have been undertaken by dedicated family members to pay for the reunion but have not been too successful. We are asking that all family members contribute to help pay for the necessary items listed above to hold our reunion . As you can see some family members have contributed and paid for things like the hall, PA , Cake and Decorations and we thank them for covering the costs but we need to pay these family members back.

if 100 family members contribute just $40 then we will have $4000 which will more than cover the costs We know family not rich , so any amount that you can contribute will help so lets all pull together and make our family reunion a memorable one!!
