designed as a collaboration project between bruno greppi alongside designers luca scopel, gianpietro vigorelli and italian advertising guru riccardo lorenzini, this bike is just as much a work of art as it is a means of transportation. the 'made in italy' creation sports a vintage look, crafted from stainless steel, carbon fiber and aluminium, and a blend of premium leathers. cykno features an unusual seat that is suspended on a stainless steel blade and upholstered with fine and selected leathers; the same precious leathers are used to upholster the handlebars and other parts of the frame. the central motor with latest technology is linked to a lithium polymer battery with high energy density.

I can be as elitist as anyone but there is something inherently off in taking what sounds like good technology and a beautiful design and then slathering it in the finest of materials to put it out of reach of the vast majority of people. I am surprised that the Swarovski folks didnt jump on the train and insist in covering the tire spokes with their crystals. Perhaps the photograph of the black clad gentleman says it all. Most likely wishing to strike a traditional pose for the fun of it but with the nose elevated just a bit too much. However, a lovely, lovely creation. Ron Smith apr 19, 2013
