Today we hear the ancient poetry of the book of Proverbs, singing of Gods wisdom playing on the surface of his earth, delighting in humankind. We hear Paul boasting of his joy not only in the blessings God sends, but even in our afflictions. Theologians wrestle with the mystery of the Trinity; with the help of the Spirit they make that divine mystery a little more clear to the Church. We understand a little. To prepare for this liturgy, a special Book of Intentions will be displayed this weekend and next to receive the names of family members who have served in the Military and are now deceased. Music Notes for the week of May 26, 2013 Music for the Sacred Liturgy Sacred music is to be considered the more holy the more closely connected it is with the liturgical action, whether making prayer more pleasing, promoting unity of minds, or conferring greater solemnity upon the sacred rites. Sing to the Lord What is so unique and special about St. Ladislas Church is our singing assembly! We sing because we know we have something to sing about! Much gratitude to all our choirs for the music ministry they do so well! Every member of each choir plays and sings their part in the orchestra of St. Ladislas gifted people who give of themselves for others. The assembly, the elderly in assisted living homes, the grieving, all have benefited from the gift of music we offer. The sacrifice of time, the work of making music, the dying to self, the bonding, have been unique and outstanding all year and continue as our cantors lead us through the Summer months. Thank you!

PERSONAL SHARING HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR STORY Part 1

Your own personal experience with Gods saving love and the stories of other people you know are the essential and foundational messages that will bring people to Christ. Tell others how you experienced conversion to Christ or how Gods love saved your child or how his grace saw you through a terrible ordeal, such as the death of a loved one. People discover hope when they hear how God has helped you kick drug addiction or overcome resentment, anger, or fear. Your personal witness of Gods presence and activity in your life is important. It will help people to seek God and to be open to his love and presence. So how do you tell your story? First, it is important that evangelizers develop & embrace an attitude of grateful repentance. God has been merciful to you. Second, continuously grow in your relationship with the Lord. Pray every day, attend Mass and receive the sacraments, live a Catholic and Confident by Henry Libersat moral life, and embrace all the truths the Church teaches.

Mothers Day, Sunday, May 12th will be the start of this years

How Can I Sponsor a Pilgrim? The group has been busy fundraising for about a year. We will stay in modest accommodations and travel light, however, there are still significant costs when undertaking such a pilgrimage. The easiest way to sponsor a pilgrim is to pick up a sponsorship brochure at the parish office. Our pilgrims are mostly college and graduate school students who are already struggling to meet the costs of their education. They have been sacrificing and saving over the past year in order to make this investment in their faith. Any additional assistance they receive from their parish is much needed and appreciated.
