The Philips MASTERColour CDM portfolio has established itself as a benchmark for superior quality retail lamps, both for general and accent lighting. With CDM lamps, merchandise sparkles while TCO goes down! Maintaining its tradition as the leading innovator in this field, Philips has gone a step further, by introducing the CDM Evolution. These best-in-class lamps offer a much extended lifetime (20,000 hours) and even higher efficacy, which results in major energy savings and a sparkle that lasts! CDM Evolution the next step The longer lamp lifetime of the CDM Evolution reduces Total Cost of Ownership significantly. Color quality is impressive too, with excellent CRI and color consistency. Through excellent lumen maintenance and a very limited color spread, sparkling results are guaranteed over the full, long lifetime of 20,000 hours. It really is the ideal choice for retailers looking to combine top-quality lighting with cost savings. The first products available in the CDM Evolution range are rated at 20W (equivalent light output to standard CDM lamps of 35W, over time). This makes them ideal for re-lamping purposes. Higher wattages will be released during the year.
CDM Elite even more choice This year, Philips is also bringing out extensions to the universally popular CDM Elite range. New additions in the CDM-T/TC Elite range include 50-Watt and 100-Watt energy-saving versions that feature cool white light (4200K) and perfect red rendering. Theyre ideal for jewelery stores or car showrooms, where that extra sparkle really helps! Other new Elite reflector lamps include CDM-R111 Elite, CDM-R Elite PAR20 and CDM-R Elite PAR30L types. These new additions to the CDM portfolio are the latest chapter in Philips ongoing commitment to provide the best and easiest to install spot lighting for retail environments.
levels and boost the impact of merchandise even further, yet without increasing energy costs. Superior light quality The CDM Elite has perfect red rendering and a high CRI (>90) so it enhances the look of merchandise. It also exhibits a high lumen maintenance of 80% @ 15,000 hours and provides excellent color consistency over lifetime. An important innovation in the CDM Elite range was the development of the CDM Elite Light Boost, which keeps colors and the quality of light stable during dimming. The CDM Evolution takes light quality a step further, for those looking for the absolute best-in-class. It too has good red rendering and a high CRI but is optimised for even longer life up to 20,000 hours. It offers the highest light output too: up to an astonishing 120 lumen per Watt from upcoming 70W lamps! With such superb light level consistency over a very long lamp lifetime, stores can be kept looking irresistible, year after year. See graph next page. Many different applications To enhance the look of fashion merchandise, and add extra sparkle to jewelry stores or car showrooms, the CDM Elite and CDM Evolution lamps have just the right color rendering qualities. For food, our CDM Fresh lamps with their cool white light make fresh food look amazingly attractive. And to warm up the look of a bakery or furniture showroom, the CDM Warm lamps (2500K) are the answer. The CDM portfolio is being expanded constantly. Today, for example, mini lamps are one of the fastest growing segments we serve, and our range of CDM Rm and CDM Tm lamps has been designed specifically to meet this need. Discover more about the unique appeal of the Philips standard CDM, CDM Elite and CDM Evolution lamps on the following pages.

Saving energy and cost The CDM Evolution has superior lumen maintenance over its long lifetime (78% @ 20,000 hours). The exceptional efficacy of this lamp makes it a truly energy-saving solution. Clearly, CDM Evolution wins any battle for lowest total cost of ownership with the best quality of light. Relamping scenarios CDM Evolution (and CDM Elite) lamps can be used to reduce energy consumption by replacing standard HID lamps with high-efficiency CDM lamps of a lower wattage that maintain similar light levels in the store. For example, a 35W CDM lamp can be replaced by a CDM Evolution 20W lamp, or a 70W CDM lamp can be replaced by a CDM Elite 50W lamp. The savings are immediate, while the color quality is instantly enhanced. Alternatively, CDM Elite lamps of the same wattage as the standard HID lamps can be used, to increase light

Enabling energy reduction The CDM Elite and CDM Evolution lamps deliver considerable energy savings, driving down TCO even further. For example, a 100W CDM Elite lamp generates the equivalent light to a 150W standard CDM lamp, over time. Similar energy savings can be achieved when converting 70W CDM lamps to Elite 50W, or 35W CDM lamps to Evolution 20W, over time.
The diagram below shows the excellent color consistency of CDM Evolution and CDM Elite lamps (over lifetime).

The new CDM-T/TC Evolution lamps set new standards for attracting people into stores. Their sparkling, crisp white light at 3000K is unrivalled for accent lighting, helping to create even more decorative effects in fashion retail.
The improved efficacy, excellent lumen maintenance and long lifetime of 20,000 hours means that substantial energy savings can be generated compared to other ceramic lamps, while cutting re-lamping costs as well. On top of this the CDM-T/TC Evolution 20W lamps generate comparable lumen levels to 35W CDM lamps over time, so by simply replacing lamps you can increase light quality at no extra cost! The CDM-T/TC Evolution 20W lamp is unique, since it is the only lamp of this wattage currently available that has a CRI of 90. For a light that makes merchandise look irresistible and keeps stores attractive year after year, look no further than CDM-T/TC Evolution.

CDM-T/TC Elite lamps generate a sparkling, dramatic ambience in stores, creating extra appeal for the merchandise. These 3000K lamps can be used for general or accent lighting to great effect.
The constant lumen output generates substantial energy savings compared to other ceramic lamps, which cuts relamping costs as well. In addition, efficiency comes standard: CDM-T/TC Elite 50W and 100W lamps generate comparable lumen levels to 70W and 150W standard CDM lamps respectively, over time.

The unique properties of Philips CDM Elite lamps which include near-perfect red rendering are also available with cool light (at 4200K). The range has recently been extended with 50W and 100W versions to create an even broader choice. This is in response to the growing demand in retail lighting for the energetic, clean ambience generated by lamps operating at a higher color temperature.
The 942 range is ideal in, for example, cosmetic stores; the clean, crisp light creates a brilliant and radiant atmosphere. It also makes metallic products look extra shiny, so its also extremely suitable for jewelers as well as in car and bicycle showrooms. It can even give an extra sparkle as accent lighting for chilled foods.

of energy.
With their unique low color temperature (2500K) they generate a sparkling yet mellow ambience, which is perfect for bringing out the best in breads, furniture and other goods with rich, red/ brown tones. Yet other colors also come across extremely well thanks to a CRI of 92. Thanks to their high lumen package and open system design, CDM-T/TC Warm lamps are an ideal replacement for halogen spots. You get the same ambience and color temperature, coupled with greater efficiency and a much longer lifetime. The CDM-T/TC Warm is also characterized by a very low cost of ownership. The initial price is lower than standard SDW alternatives, while the efficacy (in Lumens per Watt) is almost twice as high and the expected lifetime considerably longer. The result is a beautiful, rich light that can save tens of euros every year, per lamp, in running costs.

This breakthrough innovation allows brightness to be varied significantly by dimming or boosting while maintaining excellent quality of light.
The CDM-T/TC Elite Light Boost keeps the color stable during dimming, providing the reassurance that merchandise will always be displayed at its best. This lamp is available in two color temperatures (3000K & 4200K) so you can choose the most appropriate effect warmer and sparkling or a brilliant/energetic ambience for the store. CDM-T/TC Elite Light Boost lamps should be used in combination with Philips AspiraVision Dali drivers and they work with DALI protocol. Movement detectors or light sensors can be used to control the dimmable gear via Dali. CDM Fresh lamps are a considerable improvement over existing SDW lamps, making fresh food look more attractive and irresistible while using up to 30% less energy, lasting longer and offering superior lumen maintenance.
The appearance of fresh food is enhanced through selective color oversaturation; some colors are emphasized more strongly than others. The RSI (red saturation index) and GSI (green saturation index) are therefore far higher than in SDW lamps. This, combined with relatively cool light, gives a crisp, sparkling effect with superb enhancement of reds, oranges, pinks, greens and blues.
