    Instructions:

    Sheet 2: Work Experience Use this sheet to record your work experience on a per-project basis. Each project must record the following details: 1. A description of the Project, including start and end dates. 2. A contact person, and their relation to you whilst working on the project. 3. The Organisation that the work was done for. 4. A summary of the total hours you spent on the project, the non-business analyst hours and a calculation of the number of business analysis hours that you can attribute to the project.

    Sheet 3: Knowledge Areas Each of the projects that you have recorded will automatically be reflected on this sheet, including the date that you finished the project and the total number of hours that you have attributed to business analysis work. You now need to establish the amount of effort that you want to attribute to each knowledge area. You must be familiar with the BABOK in order to do this properly. When you complete your application form you will be required to state which tasks in each knowledge area contributed to your hours. A breakdown of the activities that contribute towards each KAs hours is shown on the next page. The spreadsheet includes cross-check calculations. Make sure that you allocate only 100% of project hours across each project. Then, make sure that you have recorded the project into the online application form. Note: Deductions are likely if you get this time versus task allocation wrong, or if you can't reasonably justify the hours allocation. Make sure you have current contact information for your project contact people.

    Further note: The IIBA recommend that you approach your references when you start your application. Even though it is going to take some time to first collate your project hours, and then to transcribe all of your project work into the online application form at The IIBA, the process of contacting of your references, and then receiving the reference is also time consuming. Don't get caught out, and end up having to wait on the collection of these references.
