The Baduria Family in Quesnel, BC

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10
Dear Friends; In the last letter, I told you of our fundraiser for the Sawatsky family in our church. He contracted an eye disease that took most of his eyesight. To make a long story short, we held the fundraiser for this family and the Lord blessed us by helping us raise over three thousand dollars. Then, Valley View Baptist Church of Creston, BC felt the Lord leading them to help and they donated another thousand dollars. With the money raised, we were able to pay the contractor for the work needed to install electricity in the Sawatsky home. It was amazing that the bill from the contractor was over two thousand dollars short of the quote they gave and second, just about exactly what we raised for this need. To God be the Glory. Today, we are waiting for the electricity company to turn the power on. A week after our fundraiser, Susan's father was having some heart problems and needed help. Thankfully, we were able to send Susan and the kids to North Carolina to help her parents. They ended up spending a month in North Carolina. Her father was getting back to normal but still needs a pacemaker and possible surgery for a leaking valve. We had another great year for camp this year. At junior camp we had three campers go. Sunday afternoon we had testimonies. Our youngest camper got up and almost began preaching as he shared about the messages on the heart had stirred him. Then his brother got up and shared how his cabin was praying for one of the other boys to get saved and by the end of the week that boy came forward and gave his heart to Jesus. It is testimonies like these that make camp worth the investment. Another highlight of our summer was last week's tent meeting. It was not easy and did not come without difficulties but it was all worth it. Leading up to the meeting we had experienced some battles and trials. We are convinced that Satan was working hard to discourage us. It came to the point where I had to deal with a church discipline issue. As I was walking away from that conversation, I began telling the Lord how I did not like this and wanted to quit. I got to my truck and began praying when a car pulled up across from me in the parking lot. The man on the driver's side got out wearing a tee shirt that said "Don't Quit". The back of the shirt had a big cross on it and the words "Jesus never did". Thank the Lord for the great meetings we ended up having. The Lord worked in hearts and we saw many visitors. Our church family was encouraged and strengthened by the meetings. Pastor Dave Webster came with his tent and the Lord added people to the meeting to help in ways that we could not have done on our own. Thank you again for helping us be in the place God wants us to be.
