School Happenings
I hope all of you have been placing orders for the annual PTO coke sale! All proceeds go directly into programs and equipment to benefit our students. Already this year our PTO has purchased 10 new all-purpose tables, playground balls for recess, and supplies for teachers to use in their classrooms. Please help us keep these initiatives going by supporting this fundraiser. All orders and money are due in by Friday, September 27th. TOPS Program Beginning next week, we will be collecting plastic caps off of jars, milk jugs, etc. These tops will be recycled and made into picnic tables to be used at the Spencer County Fair. In return for our participation, all students will receive a free pass to the Spencer County Fair and a free rides bracelet. There will be collection bins in the front foyer of the school. College Go Week Next week the Indiana Department of Education is sponsoring College Go Week across the state. The purpose of this week is to promote college, explain to our students what it is, and how to develop a plan to get there. Mrs. Wetzel has organized this effort for us, and staff and students will participate in several activities. Staff will decorate their doors with apparel and gear from their alma mater, staff will be introduced in assembly Monday Night Football style by the university they attended, and dress up days are planned. Wednesday students dress up in their chosen career choice, Thursday wear sports apparel (theme is get in the game), and Friday wear favorite college team clothing.
