Entrepreneur - who is desperately trying to get his/her 2D design concept into a 3D actual model which you can feel,

touch and hold (and hence sell), in the most cost effective manner. Engineer Test and prove that a product design is correct for form, fit and function. Architects Who spend hours making scaled models of construction concepts, who need to demonstrate design ideas and concept. Geologists - Topographic layouts for new land developments & terrain utilization. Film industry Needing once-off or small quantities of props for their movie shoots Packaging Develop and proof the product, before investing in expensive mass production moulds and tooling. Plastics industry - 3D modeling, prior to manufacture. Corporate Gifts For that something special and unique for your clients. General Once-off parts or small production runs. Industry Automotive, Medical, Packaging, Pharmaceutical, Electrical, everyone!

How Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing) works

Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing) with OBJET technology, is similar to that of inkjet technology that works by jetting layers of Acrylic photopolymer onto a build tray, layer by layer, 'growing the plastic' part, until it is completed. Each layer is cured by UV light immediately after it is jetted. Acrylic polymer models offer outstanding surface features and fine details. Their horizontal layers of 16 microns (0.0006") are the highest resolution available in the RP industry. Layer Thickness - Horizontal build layers down to 16 microns (0.016mm). Build Resolution - X axis: 600 dpi. Y axis: 300 dpi. Z axis: 1600 dpi. High quality: Market-leading resolution of 16microns ensures smooth, accurate and highly detailed parts and models. Highly accurate: Precise jetting and building material properties enables fine details and thin walls (600 or less depending on geometry and materials). Typical tolerance of just 0.1mm, layer thickness of 16 (0.0006) and thin walls down to 0.6mm (0.024 ).

Key Advantages of Rapid Prototyping

Enables visibility of liquid flow and internal details No post processing required as materials are fully cured Elongation at break of 20% enables some functional applications Good impact strength Models can be handled and touched, right off the tray Easy to remove gel-like support material means no hard grid edges Model surfaces readily absorb paint without additional processing Model material can also be machined, drilled, chrome-plated or used as a mould
