SYSTEM OVERVIEW
LiteTouch is a sophisticated, specialty wired, lighting control system engineered for new construction applications. A
LiteTouch system consists of four primary components; a powerful Central Control Unit, Control Modules, Low-Voltage
keypads and LiteWare design and programming software.

CENTRAL
CONTROL UNITS
The LiteTouch system is based around a Central Control Unit
which receives all switch information, processes the com-
mands, and transmits control data to the control modules.
The CCU has no software limit on the number of masters and presets which may be assigned. This is limited only by available memory.
Master Ons, Master Offs, and Scene Presets may overlap load assignments with no logical conflict. All switch-to-load assignments, includ-
ing masters and presets, are fully user programmable in a simple Windows®, and menu-driven environment. Preset fades are smooth, con-
tinuous transitions to preset levels in a time frame independently programmable for each scene preset.
Each CCU has an astronomical clock/calendar which may be used to turn on or off any system loads. Events may be programmed to occur
on specific dates, specific days of the week, or on a daily basis. The times for the events may be specific clock times such as 11:00pm, or
times relative to sunrise or sunset such as 30 minutes after sunset.
The FIVEk CCU offers all the capabilities of standard lighting control plus conditional
and sequential logic, startup events, user defined programming and an expandable
design to accommodate the most advanced features in lighting control.
The FIVEk CCU includes four Control Module ports and four Keypad ports within the
CCU's backbox. The seven card slots provide for future RF expansion of RF
communication and ethernet integration cards. A built-in redundant processor in the
controller cabinet provides fail safe operation.
FIVEk CCU Cards
Serial Enabled CPU Card 08-FIVEk-20 Connection Plus Card 08-FIVEk-24
Provides the processing of a LiteTouch system. Provides wireless communication to modules and keypads.
Available with one or two serial ports. Acts as a backup for switch to load programming.
The Standard CCU has optional modem capabilities for telephone interfacing.
A unique LCD display allows for programming and diagnostic review without a
computer. Includes four Control Module ports and four keypad ports.
The Compact Central Control Unit offers system control of smaller LiteTouch
systems. The Compact CCU has two Control Module ports and two keypad
ports. The CCU is programmed via the RS-232 Serial port.
The Surface Mount CCU Backbox is a simple rough-in box for the Standard or Compact
CCU’s. The CCU mounts to the side of the backbox allowing the hinged
CCU to swing open for easy wiring access. Available in Wheat Finish
The CCU Backbox with Wiring Harness provides a termination point for the keypad
and module runs. This is the perfect option for projects with more than 60 keypads
as the wiring harness allows for quick connection of both module and keypad wires.
For use with Compact and Standard CCUs only. Available in Wheat Finish
LiteTouch’s Engineering Philosophy - Never leave a system behind. We design systems to be fully upgradeable.
A LiteTouch system is never obsolete, and customers always have access to the latest technology. The 5000LC CCU
was introduced in 1998 and is still the most powerful processor on the market. Add wireless functionality to enable
system additions where parts of a project may have been left off the system, add ethernet functionality for system
control via iPhone®, iPad, or any smart phone.

The Hybrid 3-Way is a low voltage accessory keypad which functions like a traditional toggle
switch, installed in a 3-Way application. Hybrid 3-Way keypads are installed via 2 wire ROMEX,
directly to a Hybrid Wall Box Dimmer.
The 3-Way allows for control of one pre-programmed switch on the connected Hybrid Wall Box

GUIDE TO SWITCH TYPES
Switches/Buttons are located on each keypad and may be used in several ways. LiteWare Design & Programming
Software is used to assign switch functions to each button in the LiteTouch system, creating unique functionality for
every project. Switch functions, as well as the loads assigned to that button, can be changed at any time without
the hassle of rewiring. Below is a list of all standard switch types offered by LiteTouch Systems, if your project
