WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE GATHER TO GLORIFY GOD

PRELUDE Allegro (Organ Concerto in B Minor) CALL TO WORSHIP One: Many: One: Many: One: Many: Johann Walther, 1684-1748 Humphrey Muraya
Ruling Elder, African Evangelical International Ministries PC(USA)

There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. Each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ's gifts. Christ appointed some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers. Christ did this to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, and for serving a broken world. And so we come together in oneness of faith and in certain knowledge of the Son of God. We come to bring glory to God only, and to celebrate Gods gracious gifts to all of us. In this spirit of unity and service, let us worship God. Nettleton

HYMN 356 (Blue Hymnal) Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON)

Ruling Elder, Ginter Park Presbyterian Church

Dr. Dawn DeVries

Gracious God, Your word has come to us: Follow me. We confess that we have not been faithful in our following. At times, we have stumbled in sin. Other times we turn in the other direction. We prefer our ways and our comforts to your call. We would rather spend our time, energy, money, and focus on ourselves than love of you and neighbor. Forgive us. By your grace draw us toward your voice and your way once more. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen. RECEPTION OF NEW MEMBERS Mandana Azimi and Ali Bonakdar; Beth Bowman; Amanda and Wil Dickerson; Barbara Harkins; Michelle Hulme-Lippert; Sarah Miller.
At this time, children 9 years old and younger are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary with our volunteer leaders. The children and their leaders will worship in the chapel. They will be in "Children's Church" for the remainder of the morning and will meet parents in the social room.

APOSTLES CREED (IN UNISON)

Reverend Dr. Mark Valeri

Teaching Elder, Union Presbyterian Seminary

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORDS PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD
