DENTAL UNIT 1. Cuspidor or spitoon Bowl-like receptacle for the reception of saliva, fluids, debris coming from the patients mouth Most are provided with water pipes which reach the upper half of the bowl to cleanse the bowl Purpose is to contribute to hygiene & repulsive sight of the blood 2. Electric engine for rotary controls Utilizes electric power to rotate a set of pulleys. A cord or belt passing over these pulleys transmit the rotary motion to the attached bar, brush, etc.. 3. Saliva ejector Connection to a flush which empties into the cuspidor A metal holed mouthpiece causes a negative pressure to be build up inside the ejector of the mouthpiece thus causing the fluids to be sipped into the ejector 4. Tumbler holder Provided with faucet which, when turned on fills the tumbler with fresh tap water 5. Electric heater For the fluids contained in the spray bottles 6.
