The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit is in the process of drawing up a panel of suitable candidates f or f illing up posts of diff erent cadres, as mentioned be low, at var ious Regional Units (Surat, Jamnagar, Gandhidham) and in the Zonal Unit (Ahmedabad). These posts will be f illed up on deput ation basis f rom the off icers of equivalent grades of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax: SI. The select ed of f icers, on appointment, will be entit led f or Special Pay of 10% of the basic pay as def ined in FR 9( 21)(a)(I) in the revised pay scale subject to prescribed ceiling as admissible and t hey have to make their own arrangements f or residential accommodat ion. Normally, the deputation is f or a period of f ive years ( in respect of Senior Intel ligence Off icer and Intelligence Off icer) and three years (in respect of other cadres), which can be extendable by another t wo years, subject to willingness of the off icers, his/her perf ormance, concurrency of his/her parent Commissionerates and approval o f the Competent Author it y. Further, as per Para IV of Ministry's letter F. No. A.35017/28/92 AD. IIIB, dated 30.06.1994, of f icers posted in cert ain charges/organizations/assignments are required to complete the ' Cooling Off ' period of not less than t wo ye ars bef ore posting in Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. However, the concerned Chief Commissioner of Customs/Central Excise has been given the power to relax the 'Cooling Off ' period. It is request ed that t he Circular may please be br ought to the not ice of all the f ormations under your jurisdict ion and the application of willing off icers be f orwarded to this office. W hile f or warding the names of the willing off icers, the f ollowing inf ormation in respect of them may be f urnished:
(i) Complete Bio- data and wil lingness letter of the off icer along with Histor y of

Previous Post ings;

(ii) APAR/ACR Gradings for the last 5 years duly verified and attested by the Addit ional/Joint

Commissioner (P&V) ;
(iii) Vigilance Clearance Certificate; and (iv) No objection from the competent authority to relieve the officer in the event of his/her
