Acrylic Distribution Boards

ABB presents a wide range of IP40 flushmounting acrylic distribution boards for installation of modular components for power distribution in residential and commercial environments. These acrylic units have elegant attractive lines which follow the latest trends in design, perfectly complementing any dcor. They conform to the highest safety regulations and can be used even under the most difficult environmental conditions. They are made from self-extinguishing thermoplastic material in compliance with IEC 60 670 and other international standards and have been awarded the IMQ mark. Unibox couples elegant design with installation practicality. It is made from self-extinguishing, high quality thermoplastic material, resistant to glowwire testing (GWT) up to 6500C and shock resistance to 10 Joules (equivalent to IK 09 grade). Unibox exhibits dimensional stability from 200C to +850C and is resistant to chemical agents, atmospheric agents and UV rays. An extractable frame makes the cabling system in Unibox very easy, so that one can work at the work bench. A snap-on design eliminates the need for screws, making assembly of components and accessories extremely easy. Busbar with the required configuration needs to be ordered separately. Choose from two stylish versions: transparent smoky door or opaque door.

The Europa series of acrylic units are made from self-extinguishing, high quality thermoplastic material compliance with UL 94 V-O standards. They are resistant to glow-wire testing (GWT) up to 9600 C and shock resistance to 6 Joules. Europas flush-mounting enclosures are manufactured with push-in inlets for easy entry of protective corrugated conduits. Slots are provided at the point where the front parts are hooked on, and this allows compensation for possible defects during installation. Europa acrylic units are resistant to chemical agents, atmospheric agents and UV rays. They are compliant with IEC 60 670 and other international standards.

No equivalent product available in Indian market. The ACP (acrylic consumer panel) distribution boards are made from ABS thermo-plastic, a non-flammable, UL approved raw material. They are available in standard Ivory (RAL 9010) and Structural Grey (RAL 7035) colours allowing you to choose as per interior design. They have provision for incoming 2 pole (MCB /Isolator / RCD) and single phase outgoing and are suitable for flush mounting. Double door construction of these Distribution boards facilitates easy removal of door intermediate plate. A 150 correction is possible if the metal box is wrongly mounted.

Mounting examples and functional details

The push-pull mechanism means that the door can be closed easily.

The door can be fitted with a lock with a coded key.

The cover is fitted using rapid pitch screws in insulating thermo-plastic that can be lead-sealed if necessary.

The knockouts in the cover give maximum flexibility in trunking branch connections.

The modular, snap-on frame is easy to extract and is therefore ideal for bench cabling.

The knockout cut halfway down the module on both sides makes it possible to fit an extra module corresponding to each row of circuit breakers.

The special caps for covering the holes used to attach the unit to the wall ensure double insulation.
