Protection Devices
Auxiliaries & accessories for MCBs and RCCBs
Auxiliaries snap ?t to the side of devices providing additional protection or control. Earth leakage relays

The relay ensures the monitoring of earth leakage currents It trips in the event of a break in relay / core link Positive reset is required after a fault is detected Available with either fixed (30mA & 300mA) or adjustable sensitivity (30/100/300mA/1A, 3A) Also available in adjustable sensitivity with adjustable time delay. Protection against nuisance tripping Detection torroids which link with relay are available in circular (35mm to 70mm) cross - section

Surge protection devices

Protect equipments against transient voltage surges caused by lightning strikes or switching of motors, transformers etc. The device functions by creating a link between mains & earth during surge peaks & the link allows the current to be channeled safely to earth Type 1 devices are used to protect against direct lightning surges and are tested for lightning current waveform of 10/350s Type 2 devices are used for indirect lightning effects as well as switching surges & are tested for a current waveform of 8/20s Type 2 devices are available with reserve indicator as well auxiliary contact for remote indication Replacement cartridges for Type 2 products are also available Back up protection with fuse/MCB/MCCB of speci?ed rating is recommended SPDs do not replace lightning rod but are complementary

Modular electromechanical/digital time switch

1 & 2 channel quartz time switches for hourly, daily and weekly programming These can be used to control lighting, heating, ventilation, household appliances etc. Minimum switching time - 15 min. for daily dial and 2 hrs. for weekly dial All time switches are rated for 16A 240V AC1 and have supply failure reserve upto 200 hrs. Time lag switches
The device controls lighting circuits with automatic switchoff after a pre-set time Time delay is adjustable from 24 sec. to 12 min. Twilight switches
The devices are controlled by photoelectric cells which measures the light level, and in conjunction with the relay provides on/off control of lighting circuit (in relation to natural light) They can be used in street lighting, display lighting, illuminated signs, showrooms etc. They come in 2 sensitivity ranges : 5 to 100 lux and 50 to 2000 lux EE100 twilight switch available with surface cell EE110 available with one daily time-switch incorporated in same unit EE702 available for outdoor use with IP55 protection EE702 : twilight switch with sensitivity range 2 to 1000 lux and time delay 1 sec to 120 s
