c. Phase bus bars will be completely enclosed with molded of extruded insulation , except where provisions will be made for splicing adjacent sections together . The joints for splicing adjacent sections together will be silver plated & enclosed by either molded insulation boots or approved taped insulation system . Conductors , insulators & supports will be braced to withstand the mechanical & thermal effects of the maximum short circuit current and will in all cases be brace for not less than standard for that rating. The molded bus-bar insulation & insulating supports will be made of insulation Possessing flame retardant & self-extinguishing , die-electric & non-hygroscopic properties . The bus will carry its rated current continuously , without exceeding the temperature rise of 25 C over outside ambient of 50 C . d. The joints will be of single bolt pressure design providing optimum electrical contact & mechanical strength . All bolting hard were exposed to the weather or corrosive atmosphere will be ANSI 316 stainless or approved corrosion resistance substitute . The metal housing surface will be chemically cleaned & treated to provide a bond between the primer light gray paint & the metal surface paint film . The exterior surfaces will be cleaned & sprayed with a finishing coat of paint before assembly of the equipment . The colour of metal enclosed bus will be manufacturers standard. e. After assembly , all conductor joints will be accessible by the removal of covers in the enclosure , such covers will be weatherproof by neoprene gaskets or other suitable means . The preliminary layout will be furnished as a part of the material requisition . The complete insulation will be coordinated throughout & will consist of standard sections & special sections and fittings provided to suit the installation . All materials & installation will Comply with the applicable standard . f. When bus-way pass through floors , walls , partition or ceiling , the surrounding gap has to be filled in with cement or similar fire-resisting material to the full thickness of the floor , wall partition or ceiling .
