2.1. Fun With English

RESEARCH METHOD
3.1. Research Design
This research will use descriptive qualitative method. According to Frankle and
Wallen (1979:166), descriptive research is the research that tried to describe and interpret
what condition or relationship that exist, opinions that are held, processes that are going on,
effects that are evident or trends that are developing. In other word, a descriptive research is a
study that concerns about the actual problems which happening when the study conducting.
Related to this, Smith in Merriam, 1991 described that descriptive study is to describe
people and its emphasis on words rather than number. It means that the result of the research
will describe the role of Fun with English Program in help the students to master vocabulary.
The subject of this research are the SMP students of first class at SMP N 4 Bengkulu
3.3. Instrument
The instrument will use in this research is the observation check list and questionnaire
sheet to know the students’ reason in watching Fun with English program.
The data in this research will describe the reason from observation and questionnaire
to know the role of Fun With English program in help the students to master vocabulary.
