It is designed for wounds with a heterogenious production of exudate during granulation. sorbion sana gentle is indicated as a primary dressing for exuding wounds of varying etiologies and is non sensitizing, making it an ideal dressing for all patients even those with contact sensitivities. Special 3 dimensional structure of the outer layer maintains moist environment Special geometry of the pores supports the passage of wound uids such as exudate, toxins and cell debris into the core of the dressing Protection against bioburden recontamination through retention capacity Maximum absorption and retention Folder sana range 4S A4_EN_US_05.2014.indd 2 06.06.14 14:23 sorbion sana multi star Primary dressing for difcult-to-dress anatomical sites High exibility Tissue protection Less pain during dressing change Locks in bacteria and toxins Non sensitizing With its unique shape sorbion sana multi star allows exible application for use on sites such as the toes, heel, foot, sacrum, chest, axillae, elbows or wound cavities. Hydrokinetic bers are one major key to implementing this design concept in our products. These bers form a matrix characterized by a unique combination of materials, including their proportions, densities and mass. The sorbion inner core is made of mechanically modi- ed cellulose bers (cellulose and sodium polyacrylate) which are processed to produce an absorbent dressing pad. The production process involves binding together selected cellulose bers and gel-forming polymers so that both components can interact and function together. The patented expansion border, which enables wide contact with the wound region, even at high saturation rates, also plays an import- ant role in the design concept.
