Analyzer Update
1 In this version
This is the first version 5 release of Analyzer. Its highlights include the following:
New collection devices supported: Added support for TEMS Investigation 15.1, TEMS Pocket 13.1 and TEMS Symphony Suite 7.1. Added support for XML side-files for Ascom Symphony (TRP format). Added support for PCTEL SeeHawk 2.4.
Application layer improvements: Re-organized the stateforms and screen layouts into major technology groups (GSM, UMTS, EVDO). Removed duplicate stateforms, and made smaller improvements to remaining stateforms. Improved the LTE event detection so that Analyzer does not peg a drop if the UE reads an idle mode SIB whilst in connected mode.
Platform improvements: Added support for multi-threaded loading of log files, leading to increased performance and keeping the UI responsive while loading files in Classic. Added support for Ribbons for easy access to commonly used commands. Improved the Attribute Explorer component by making the search feature interactive, added a heuristic feature to search, and providing better control over how attributes are presented. New Preferences dialog box supporting hierarchical groups of settings, search, indication of modified values, and resetting to default values. Added commands to the Ribbon for modifying the most commonly used preferences. New Analysis Manager with a new search feature and a more modern look-and-feel. Improved docking of windows to support more flexible layouts, stacked docked windows, and auto-hidden docked windows. Added file-loading progress bar to the Windows 7/8 taskbar. Fixed a problem where Analyzer could crash on start-up if automatic cellref import was enabled. Fixed a problem in Indoor Data / Railway Positioning Wizards where the OK and Cancel buttons were not visible.

Known issues: Support has been withdrawn for some older activation licenses. If you encounter problems, please try reactivating your license. In case of any issues, please contact Actix Support for a replacement activation key. Retired a number of components including: A10/A11 superstreaming, CDMA statetip, CDMA toolkit, Comarco log file splitter, convert cellrefs, custom attribute manager, GSM cell plan viewer, network images, PCM-Link/DT super-streaming, and Xtel C to I.

In LTE, a problem has been resolved that could prevent the attribute LTE_UE_MAC_Throughput_DL from being set. Attribute Task_Failure_Cause is now also set when a Task times out.
In LTE, the support for Qualcomm LTE messages has been improved in cases where messages LTE ML1 PDSCH stat indication and LTE ML1 GM Tx report are not all logged but sampled (for instance, the logging tool records only 1 message per second where there should be several). This change resolves problems affecting several LTE attributes such as LTE_UE_FrameUsage_DL and LTE_UE_PayloadRate_L1_DL. In HSPA, a problem has been resolved that could prevent the attribute Uu_HSDPA_64QAM_Configured from being set in version 6.2 Ascom Symphony files. In HSPA, support for DC-HSDPA has been improved. A problem has been resolved that could cause attribute Task_Server_URL to contain non-printable characters. Attribute SQ_SQuad_P863LQ_WideBand now only reports MOS values from Speech Quality Extended messages. MOS measurements from Speech Quality Statistics are now set under a new attribute : AscomP863LQWideBandSpeechQualityAverage. A typo has been corrected where AMR super wideband was called AMR super narrowband in Message Browser.
Added support for XML side-files, which contain measurements collected on the network side.
Added support for TEMS Investigation 15.1, TEMS Pocket 13.1 and TEMS Symphony Suite 7.1.

In LTE, call tracking has been improved so that the same call ID is set for call segments following an intra-eNB handover. In UMTS, a problem has been resolved with the query GPEH Connection Breakdown whereby the results displayed in Statistics Explorer were wrong when a filter was applied to a call.
Added support for th emessage FN_WAMS_EMAIL_2_TEST, at which e-mail related Task attributes are now set. A problem has been resolved with linear GPS interpolation that could cause file loading time to increase significantly.
A problem has been resolved with the decoding of the FREQSCAN message, which could cause scanner log files to fail to load in Analyzer. Added new scanner attributes for spectrum scanning: ScanSweepAvgRSSI and ScanCenterFrequency.
New LTE attributes are now set: LTE_UE_MAC_Throughput_DL LTE_UE_Blocked_Cells_Count LTE_UE_Blocked_Cell_PCI LTE_UE_RSN_Distribution
The following new attributes are set upon LTE SIB-1 read failures: LTE_UE_SIB1_Decode_Fail_Rate LTE_UE_SIB1_Decode_FailedAttemptCount
August 2013
LTE_UE_SIB1_Decode_TotalAttemptCount
A new LTE scanner attribute is set for the channel condition number: LTE_Scan_CondNumber_Rank2 A problem has been resolved where Analyzer did not detect the technology capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy SII phone. This problem caused some attributes to be missing and others to be wrong, such as CS fall back events. Some decoding errors in Message Browser have been resolved that affected LTE handset messages.
2.12 Generic
In LTE, a problem has been resolved where Analyzer could detect an LTE dropped connection when an idle mode SIB (such as SIB-6) was read in connected mode. In LTE, a problem has been resolved where Analyzer would detect a RRC connection setup failure if a RRC Connection Setup message was not received exactly within the time indicated by timer t300. Analyzer now waits for LTE_t300_wait_timer (default 1500 ms) before detecting a RRC setup failure. If an RRC setup failure is detected, it is pegged at the message at which timer t300 expired. In GSM, Analyzer now decodes correctly RR Measurement Report messages where UMTS neighbour cells are reported, when the reporting quantity is Ec/N0. A problem has been resolved that could lead to discrepancies between Analyzer and ActixOne, where the technology capabilities detected for a device could be different in each platform.

4 Platform improvements
4.1 Multi-threaded loading of log files
Added support for multi-threaded loading of log files, making use of the available physical cores one file per core. This means multiple files can be loaded at the same time, and that data loads faster. The number of threads used can be configured in Preferences. One can prioritize between responsive user-interface and file-loading performance.
The user can still interact with Analyzer while loading files in Classic. As for Repositories and Spotlight, load speed improvements still apply but Analyzer does not stay responsive.
4.2 Ribbons
Added support for Ribbons with the most commonly used commands easier to find.
Made the search feature interactive and more easy to use. Added new heuristic feature to search, suggesting commonly used attribute names.
August 2013
Added a toolbar, providing greater control over how attributes are presented.
4.4 Preferences
New Preferences dialog box supports hierarchical groups of settings, search, indicates modified values, and allows resetting to default values.
Added commands to the Ribbon for modifying the most commonly used preferences.
August 2013
New Analysis Manager with a new search feature and a more modern look-and-feel.
Added commands to Ribbon for directly creating new queries of selected types.

4.6 Docking

10
Fixed a problem where Analyzer could crash on start-up if automatic import was enabled.
Fixed a problem where the OK and Cancel buttons were not visible.
