Welcome to the Eckels Family Our Missionaries to Australia

Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a country in the Southern Hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. For thousands of years before European settlement in the late 18th century, Australia was inhabited by indigenous Australians, who belonged to one or more of roughly 250 language groups. In January of 1901, the six colonies became a federation, and the Commonwealth of Australia was formed. The population is 21.5 million, with approximately 60% concentrated in, and around, the mainland state capitals of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The nation's capital city is Canberra. The Eckels arrived in Australia on May 28, 2006, and began assisting an Australian pastor in a small town located 3 hours south of Sydney. In November of 2009, they moved to Melbourne Victory, and started the Westside Baptist Church of Deer Park. They started with just their family. At the end of the first year, God blessed, and they chartered the church with 6 families. The Westside Baptist Church now has a choir, assistant pastor, Sunday schools, and an annual mission conference. Westside Baptist church supports 5 missionaries through Faith Promise missions. The Westside Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Baptist church with a heart for people and a love for God.

During the month of October, our church family determines our missionary budget by the amount we pledge to give through our commitment cards. Faith Promise Commitment cards will be distributed and collected on the last Sunday, October 27. Through prayer and dependence on God, we would like you to make a 12-month commitment to missionaries like you make long -term commitments to banks to purchase

cars, or a house.

Thank you for choosing to worship at the New Testament Baptist Church of Butler. Our prayer is that your heart will be stirred for the eternal as we sing songs & hymns that direct your heart toward Christ and challenge you through the preaching of Gods Word. There are friendly people at our Welcome Center in the lobby who will gladly assist you with any questions you may have during your visit. Allow us to make you feel at home during your visit. First-time adult visitors and families are asked to visit our Welcome Center to receive a hospitality bag with a gift card to Chick-fil-A.

First Time Visitors

Out of respect for your loved ones and those in attendance, we ask parents to use our clean & well-equipped nursery. This free service is available for newborns and infants (birth through 24 months). Your cooperation is needed and appreciated. Assistance is available at the Welcome Center.

The New Testament Baptist Church will be hosting a Harvest Party at the church on Saturday, October 19, from 4:00-7:00 PM. We will be serving pulled pork, corn-on-the-cob, hot dogs, and baked beans. The adults are encouraged to participate in a Cornhole tournament. Each family is asked to bring a dessert.

There will be a petting zoo with barnyard animals for the children. There will also be pony rides and a mini-hayride for the children.
