Autumn-Winter time credits menu 2013

Welcome to Timeplace! Time credits are a community currency, they can be earned by volunteering your time to the local community, in return for one hours volunteering you can receive one time credit that is then worth one hours of activity. This menu demonstrates some of the ways you can earn and spend time credits in Ely, Caerau and Fairwater. Please come and join us, we would love to see you! This is part of the Communities Currencies in Action project, part-funded through the Interreg NEW Programme. For more information contact ACE on 02920 003132 or visit www.aceplace.co.uk

Give time, get credit!

Welcome to the Timeplace menu. In this booklet you will be able to find out where to spend your Time Credits and how you can earn them. Time credits are a community currency operating in Ely, Caerau and Fairwater. For every hour of time you give to a registered project, you will receive one Time Credit. You can spend your Time Credits on selected activities at any of the Spices Time Credit partners, at some community events and activities also on a range of community trips. Spice are working hard to ensure that there are lots of places where you can earn and spend your Time Credits; if you have any ideas about where you would like to earn and spend then please get in touch with Annemarie@elycaerau.com. The Timeplace project is a partnership between Spice www.justaddspice.org and Action Caerau Ely www.aceplace.org as part of the Community Currencies In Action project part-funded through the Interreg IVB North West Europe Programme. Together we aim to create an active, reciprocal community where people feel like their contributions are valued, where people feel connected and where citizens coproduce the changes they would like to see.

Spend your credits with our wonderful partners

Please do be aware that all companies and organisations that offer their services and activities to this menu do so as a gesture of goodwill, please show your appreciation when spending your credits to ensure that we can keep our partners on board! Community Ambassador Project

The Community Ambassador Project was developed to help community members ( especially those who don t usually get to hear about or get involved in activities for whatever reason ) to access, benefit from and influence services which could help improve their physical and mental health. We want to do this by building on the existing brilliant community networks and work with volunteer C ommunity Ambassadors to represent their street or group so that other people get involved. Eventually we will have a team of volunteers that are knowledgeable, skilled and confident and who can represent the views of local people in the development of existing health activities & services. However, it s up to you how the project develops, how we do things and how involved you want to get and of course you will be able to earn Time Credits! Volunteers are currently working on setting up a Coffee Morning to meet all the new Community Ambassador volunteers. Visit to Blaengarw timebank & ambassador project Thursday 21st November 9.30-2.30pm earn time credits for coming on this educational & informative trip if you are interested in getting more involved in our ambassador scheme!
