Dahana provides customers services for borehole drilling in accordance with efficient and effective blasting pattern and needs.
Down The Hole Dahana provides explosives blast hole charging services using compatible explosives according to the requirements, furthermore yielding excellent result. Blasting PT Dahana has a reliable reputation as a total blasting services provider, either for bench blasting, trench blasting, tunnel blasting, cautious blasting or underwater blasting. The previously mentioned total services comprise optimum explosives charge calculation, drill hole preparation, down the hole loading, efficient blast design, blast timing and design configuration, ground vibration, air blast and flyrock control, rock mucking, cost analysis and blast productivity. Drilling and Blasting Dahana provides drilling and blasting services for customers in accordance with efficient and effective pattern and blasting needs. Ground Vibration The purpose of this service is to measure vibration and air blast, generated by blasting process, using sophisticated tools. PT Dahana (Persero) also provides related services such as explosives supply, explosives demolition service, mobilization, magazine/bunker service and explosives handling consultation service.
Demolition Explosives that have exceeded their life cycle (life time) must be destroyed due to their economically ineffectiveness and danger. Explosives Mobilization PT Dahana provides explosives delivery from the supplier magazine to the end users, vice versa. Dahana also provides services for explosives importation and exportation. Magazine In maximizing its explosives service, PT Dahana (Persero) is completed with very adequate magazine facilities. Strategically located magazines are available in Subang, Tasikmalaya and Balikpapan with excellent safety standards as well as large capacity for explosives storage. Blasting Optimation Dahana provides consultation services for blasting activity handling, particularly to achieve the economic value of blasting which is supported by experienced and professional experts.

Explosives Composition This activity focus on design and engineering of explosives composition, especially water based emulsion. The aim of the activity is to produce explosives compositions with better performance and safety to support an efficient and effective operations.

Starting with the experiences on developing MMU for Karimun Project, Dahana Engineering Centre recently has the capability to provide the customer with the Design and Engineering of Mobile Manufacturing Unit at the design capacity from 2MTon up to 14Mton. MMU produced by PT Dahana (Persero)

ANFO Mixer and ANFO Truck ANFO Technology was start in 1992 with the implementing of Dahanas own design and engineering of ANFO Production facility in Tasikmalaya and Subang. This plant was built with capacity 7,500 MTon/Shift/Year. Based on the experiences in developed ANFO Plant, further development resulting the design of a Continuous ANFO Mixer System portable and permanent type with capacity from 4 MTon/hour to 8 MTon/ hour.

Explosives Consultation Dahana Engineering Centre also provides general on the explosives fields covering explosives technology and applications, product knowledge information, blasting technology and also explosives demolition. SAFETY THROUGH THE DESIGN To ensure the product output of Engineering Centre meet with safety requirements, a HAZOP STUDY is carried out in every stage of the design process starting from design planning untill the trial run of the equipments.

To serve large blasting customers where time of explosives loading become decisive matters, Dahana Engineering Centre offers design and engineering of ANFO Truck with various capacity from 4 MTon - 14MTon. ANFO Truck is also equiped with Loading Control System to increase the effectiveness of the operation on the field. Several type and mark of 4x4 or 6x4 truck are available on request. 3. Emulsion Process Systems Continuing the success of the technology transfer of Emulsion licensed products, Dahana has extended the capabilities in the field of Packaged Emulsion technology through developing On Site Bulk Emulsion Plant which has been successfully operated at Karimun Island Job Site since 1998. The extensive product and process development on emulsion explosives has been successfully accomplished ever since. Supported by well experienced and highly qualified engineers and scientist as well as advanced laboratory facilities, Dahana continues to improve its capabilities to provide customer Dahana Engineering Centre activity covers fields of Design and Engineering of Explosives Compositions, ANFO Mixers and ANFO Delivery Truck, Emulsion Process System as well as Mobile Manufacturing Unit and Explosives Consultation. satisfaction. 4. Dayagel Magnum is an especially high strength and robust detonator sensitive emulsion explosives. The product is grey in colour with a firm putty-like consistency. DAYAGEL MAGNUM has been designed as a detonator sensitive explosive and will deliver maximum energy and efficiency when initiated by a detonator of No. 8 or greater strength. Watergels or nitroglycerine based explosives are NOT recommended as primers for DAYAGEL emulsions due to their relatively low velocity of detonation.

DAHANA BULK EMULSION MATRIX High strength water resistant non-cap bulk emulsion matrix.

DABEX is a high strength water resistant non cap sensitive bulk emulsion matrix used for wet blasting conditions in open pit mining applications. It has been designed to be pumpable using bulk delivery truck through flexible loading hose lowered to the bottom of the blast hole.

DABEX can be used by itself or in blends of up to 60% by emulsion phase weight, providing controlled modification of final blended product densities, detonation pressure, bulk explosives strength and gas volume.

Purchasing Guide
Explosives are extremely dangerous and sensitive, thus for the purpose of safety and security, there needs to be specific monitoring and control. Commercial explosives are various chemical products that can be used as explosives for mining work, civil work or in certain production for commercial purposes.
PT Dahana (Persero) is appointed based on Presidential Decree 5/1988 to provide explosives and services in accordance to the regulations. PT Dahana (Persero) has more than 40 years of experience in explosives industry and has the infrastructures, facilities, and competence needed to provide services related to explosives. Based on Presidential Decree 5/1988 as jo Presidential Decree 125/1999, the procurement and usage of explosives is detailed in the Regulation on Minister of Defense No. PER/22/M/XII/2006 regarding Guidelines on regulation, supervision and development of commercial explosives business entities and Regulation of National Police Chief Number 2 of 2008 concerning Supervision, control and safety of commercial explosives. Purchase and Usage Permit (P2 Permit) Purchase of explosives can only be fulfilled if customer owns Purchase and Usage Permit (P2 Permit) issued by National Police Chief (Kapolri) which is valid for 6 (six) months and only given to customers who already have Explosives Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit (P3 Permit) which is also issued by National Police Chief. Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit (P3 Permit) P3 Permit is Explosives Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit. P3 Permit is issued by Indonesian Police Chief and is valid for 5 (five) years in accordance to the validity of magazine permit issued by Directorate General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal or Directorate of Oil and Gas. Before P2 Permit or P3 Permit is issued by Chief of Indonesian Police, a recommendation from Chief of Provisional Police (Kapolda) is required. For project/company within Directorate General of General Mining or Directorate General of Oil and Gas, aside from recommendation from Chief of Provisional Police, a recommendation from either of the abovementioned Directorate is also required. Moreover, in order to obtain recommendation from Chief of Provisional Police, a recommendation from Regional Police (Polres) is required. PURCHASE 1. Customer submits written inquiry by stating the type and quantity of explosives along with the explanation on the purpose of usage. 2.Based on the material requisition, Dahana will submit quotation to the customer and if desired, Dahana may assist in preparing and completing the necessary permits. 3.After purchase agreement is reached between Dahana and the customer, the purchase requirements will be stated in the purchase order/PO or service order/SO. 4.Based on the order, Dahana will determine the procurement plan, whether it will be fulfilled from available stock, produced or imported. 5.Goods will be delivered after permit and payment requirements are met in accordance to the delivery schedule.
