1. Creating user in the Active directory


1. Login to the cloud domain a. 173.204.32.212 2. Go to Start > Administrative tools > Active Directory Users and Computer.

3. Select the country and the department of the user from Active Directory Users and Computer.

4. Right click on the selected OU (Country > department) and select new > user

5. File the fields. Under the user logon name drop down menu select @techoneglobal.com and click next.

6. Type a password with a combination of alphanumeric keys and confirm it and click next.

7. Then confirm the details and click finish.

8. The user will be in the created OU.

9. Right click on the newly created user and select properties.

10. Then click attribute editor and select proxy addresses under the attributes and then click edit.

11. In the window under value need to add two attributes as below. After each need to click Add so it will be added under Values box. Value to add : SMTP:username@techoneglobal.com Value to add : smtp:username@tech1global.onmicrosoft.com (Note: in the first value the SMTP is in upper case and the second value the smtp is in lower case)

12. Click ok and then click apply ok to the user properties window.

2. Sync the user to office 365.


1. Login to the AD Office 365 synchronizing server using administrative credentials. a. 173.204.32.220 2. Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Online Directory Sync\SYNCBUS\Synchronization Service\UIShell a. Open miisclient.exe (Forefront Synchronizing Service Manager)

(This helps you to monitor the sync process.) 3. Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Online Directory Sync a. Open DirSyncConfigShell and type Start-OnlineCoexistenceSync (power shell file) and press enter.

4. Monitor the process in the Forefront Synchronizing Service Manager.

5. A new user had been added.

3. Office 365 settings on the new user.


1. Login to mail.techoneglobal.com or portal.microsoftonline.com to assign license to the user

2. You will need to login to the portal as an administrator

3. Click users in the left pane

4. Search for the newly created user in the AD to assign user license and to do the other settings.

5. Tick the user and click edit in the top or the bottom of the search result. You will be taken to the user settings page. On the first page you will be able to select which type of license you assign to the user. ( for all users we assign Microsoft Office 365 Plan E3 license, but only for selected users we assign Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online licenses )

6. Then click settings.

Let all the setting be as default and the location should be set to Sri Lanka for all users. And click save.

4. Adding the new users to the appropriate distribution groups. (TECHONE ALL, TECHSL..)
5. Click admin in the top of the page

6. In the admin portal page in the middle pane click exchange manage.

7. The exchange online control panel will be opened in a new page.

8. Click distribution groups.

9. Then search for the group and double click the group.

10. The distribution group property window will be opened

11. Click the membership tab and click add. The select member window will be opened and search for the newly created user and click of to add him to the group.

12. Go to admin portal to reset the password of the user.

13. In the simple two steps of resetting the passwords in will ask a mail address to send the temporary password. Either you can send it to you own mail address and then you can forward to the user o you can directly send the mail to the users another personal mail address than the tech one global mail address.

14. Next step in will finish the process and show you the temporary password.
