ADAcode quickly connect consumers with items of their interest.

What if, Azli Paat wondered two years ago, there was an easy way to get addi=onal informa=on that just caught your eye in a newspaper ad? Most of the =me the ads just carry a phone number and you have to explain what you need to the operator. Some ads carry QR code, but only links the consumer to the website of the adver=sers. Azli wants more. A serial innovator responsible for star=ng RakanCOP, DAPAT.com and mySMS Mobile Govt, Azli seized on that idea and didn't let go. The MDEC ambassador, convinced friends and family to invest and launched ADA with a former partner to develop the technology. ADA came up with a simple concept a dialable QRcode that consumers can dial with their mobile phones to connect to online informa=on. ADAcode, as the company calls its dialable mobile-ac=on codes, compete with more popular QR codes and MicrosoV Tags but are gaining trac=on with companies that prefer the more ecient process, branded look and other features. ADAcode clients include Bernama Radio 24, Ministry of Health, and DIGI Startup Challenge. "We're a more evolved form of the QR code," said Azli, 44. "Companies recognize that the combina=on of dialable code next to the exis=ng QR code is best of both world. If QR code is accessible by less that 1% of the mobile users in Malaysia, ADAcode is accessible by the other 99% of the subscribers. ADAcode system reads both the unique code and QR code, which will deliver response to consumers using Pop-Up in their phones, SMS and even custom email for rst =me users. Last month, ADA introduced ADAinfo, which allow public to get addi=onal info about the adver=sements only by dialing the prescribed code free of charge which was Azlis vision all along. "The nugget of the idea was connec=ng the physical and digital world, he said. "When you're reading/ hearing an ad for certain products, you want to do something about it, not just tear the page out or wri=ng down the phone number and hope you come back. ADAcode has a long way to go in a quickly growing market. Our knowledge of the industry, prior rela=onships with some of the Malaysias largest publishers, ad agencies and brands, and ability to drive sales will help propel ADACode forward as a leader in mobile ac=va=on and mobile direct marke=ng campaigns, said Azli. The ADAcode is created with ADAs combina=on of proprietary technology and in the process of patent applica=on. Each code is trackable and able to trigger a broad spectrum of dierent engagements. The trackability gives ADAcode a compe==ve advantage over QR code alone. Addi=onally, the ADAcode is signicantly more appealing than 2D bar codes that require downloading of a bar code reader. Any consumer with a mobile phone can ac=vate an ADAcode, said Azli.
