Narrated Muhammad ibn Khalid as-Sulami: as-Sulami's grandfather, who was a Companion of the Apostle of Allah (SAW) said:
I heard the Apostle of Allah (SAW) say:

When Allah has previously decreed for a servant a rank which he has not attained by his action, He afflicts him in his body, or his property or his children. (Book #20, Hadith #3084) Abu Dawood

1. All the praises and thanks are to Allh, Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad SAW) the Book (the Qur'n), and has not placed therein any crookedness. 2. (He has made it) Straight to give warning (to the disbelievers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allh Islmic Monotheism), who do righteous - deeds, that they shall have a fair reward (i.e. Paradise). 3. They shall abide therein forever.
4. And to warn those who say, "Allh has begotten a son (or offspring or children)."

Surah Fussilat

Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy. (41:42)

How to Praise and Thank Allah

Allah is praised and thanked in several ways
1) By acknowledging His right of Worship, Lordship, and His lofty Names and Attributes, as well as all the bounties He has bestowed us with. 4) By acting in accordance with His commands, i.e. Quran & Sunnah, only to seek His pleasure. 2) By verbally thanking and praising Him. For example: al-Hamdulillah

3) By loving Him, longing to see Him, fearing His punishment and hoping for His reward.

Ex. Wealth: he should thank Allah by spending it on the needy and Islamic projects Ex. Time: he should thank Allah by using it in His cause. Ex. Knowledge: he should thank Allah by educating others with that knowledge.

A Muslims entire life, is in fact an act of Hamd and Shukr to Allah, azza wa jall.

They utter nothing but a lie. 6) Perhaps, you, would kill yourself (O Muhammad SAW) in grief, over their footsteps (for their turning away from you), because they believe not in this narration (the Qur'n). 7) Verily! Surah Al-Shuara

It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) i.e. in your Message of Islmic Monotheism]. (26:3)

Surah Fatir
Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds made fairseeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? Verily, Allh sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So destroy not yourself (O Muhammad SAW) in sorrow for them. Truly, Allh is the AllKnower of what they do! (35:8)

Do you think that the people of the Cave and the Inscription (the news or the names of the people of the Cave) were a wonder among Our Signs? Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" (10)

`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (RA) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "Convey from me even an Ayah of the Qur'an; relate traditions from Banu Israel, and there is no restriction on that; but he who deliberately forges a lie against me let him have his abode in the Hell.' [Al-Bukhari]. Riyadh-us-Salehin # 1380.

18:9-10

Commentary: This Hadith contains the following three important points: 1. It stresses the importance of acquiring knowledge of the Qur'an and Hadith and imparting it to others. 2. It allows the communication of Jewish Traditions but this permission is subject to the condition that such Traditions are not against Qur'an and Hadith.

3. There is a stern warning on attributing any false saying to the Prophet (SAW). This demands strict scrutiny of Ahadith.
