This project proposes to repair bridges that carry: Half Hollow Rd over the LIE (I495), Washington Ave over the LIE (I495), Ronkonkoma Ave over the LIE (I495), Hawkins Ave over the LIE (I495), the LIE (I495) over Edwards Ave, the LIE (I495) over NY112 (Medford Ave), the LIE (I495) over Sills Rd and Yaphank Ave over the LIE (I495). Bridges are in the Towns of Brookhaven, Huntington & Islip in Suffolk County. Project will help maintain bridge reliability and integrity to assure the continued safety of the traveling public. The work may include all or some of the following: the removal and replacement of existing steel bearings with elastomeric bridge bearings, the reconstruction of bridge bearing pedestals and anchor bolts, repairs to concrete pier cap beams, removal and replacment of deck joint systems, and reconstruction of deck slabs at deck joint regions, and miscellaneous concrete substructure patch repairs. Some bridges will have replacement of their asphalt wearing surface overlay, after milling to remove the existing, installation of a waterproof membrane, and paving of the new asphalt wearing course overlay. This type of corrective maintenance helps extend the life of the bridges. This project proposes to widen the Southern State Parkway eastbound exit ramp to NY 109 eastbound to help improve motorist safety and meet current design standards, Town of Babylon, Suffolk County. If there are funds left over, CARDs (Centerline Audible Roadway Delineators) will be installed at the following locations: NY 25A from Ashland Drive to West Main Street in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County. NY 25 from Nassau/Suffolk Line to 140 ft east of Promenade Drive in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County and Town of Huntington, Suffolk County. NY 25A from 330 ft south of Sunken Meadow Parkway northbound to eastbound exit ramp to 125 ft north of Country Lane Drive in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County.

Install and upgrade sidewalk curb ramps and sidewalk segments to meet current ADA and Department standards on NY24 (Hempstead Turnpike), NY102 (Front Street), NY27 (Sunrise Highway), NY106 (Newbridge Road) and NY107 (Hicksville Road/Cedar Swamp Road) in Region 10 - Long Island. Locations identified under other contracts but beyond their scope may be included in this project. Sidewalk may be installed to fill gaps less than a half mile between segments of existing sidewalks where extensive drainage improvements are not required. Curbs, signs and paving within the area of work may be replaced and other site improvements may be provided. Crosswalks may also be re-striped to link curb ramps where required. This proposed project will help replace existing rustic guiderail in spot locations along approximately a 21 mile section of Southern State Parkway in the Towns of Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County, and the Towns of Babylon and Islip, Suffolk County as well as spot locations along approximately a 22 mile section of Northern State Parkway, in the Towns of North Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County, and the Towns of Huntington and Smithtown, Suffolk County. Existing guiderails will be replaced with guiderails that meet current engineering standards. In addition, new sections of guiderail will be added, if warranted, to ensure the safety of the traveling public. This project proposes to improve the safety and reliability of non-motorized travelers on existing and new pedestrian walkways that are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pedestrian infrastructure will be addressed on NY 25 from Twomey Ave to Elton St in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County.

Rehabilitation work on the Little York Crossing road bridges will include substructure repairs, joint replacement, new bearings, paint and concrete deck sealing or a thin overlay. Traffic will be maintained on-site with long-term stationary lane closures. Bridge replacement on I-81 over State Route 80 will improve the bridge to Interstate standards. Bridge type and the method of maintaining traffic during construction have yet to be determined. This minor bridge rehabilitation project will repair specific elements of the structure to improve its conditions. The repairs include concrete patching on the substructure, improvements to the pedestals and bearings, new joints, a deck overlay and bridge painting as needed.

Route 20A Bridge over Cayuga Creek in The Town of Sheldon, Wyoming County. This project will involve removal of the existing structure, construction of a new one on the same alignment with minimal highway approach work. This project is replacing the bridge in order to meet current structural standards to provide 75 years of service life. Routet 20A Culvert from Brad Street to Wyoming Road (West Hill) in The Village of Warsaw, Wyoming County. This project will replace the culvert (drainage structure) and build more effective lateral culverts and ditches. Run-off will be captured and controlled in such a way that disturbance of the existing embankments is minimized. Route 20 at County Road 35 (East Road) in The Town of Bethany, Genesee County. An ongoing investigation of accidents has identified this as a location with a high number of crashes. A pattern of crashes continues although additional signs have been added. This project will realign the intersection in order to reduce the overall rate and severity of accidents. Route 31from The West Village Line to The Village Park Reconstruction in The Village of Clyde, Wayne County. This project will restore pavement to good condition and ride-ability using cost effective pavement treatments which provide a minimum service life of 20 years. Project will also install a new drainage system.

A substantial portion of The Major Deegan Expressway Bridge over Mosholu Parkway in Bronx County will be replaced to ensure structural integrity and motorist safety. The bridge has three spans. Spans 1 and 3 (consisting of structural steel) will be replaced at the same location. Span 2 (concrete rigid frame) will be repaired as required.
